Yep. All of these are conceivably beatable in the future, unlike Club Penguin Banned%. Even attempting to beat that record is impossible, since Club Penguin was shut down. That is what a truly unbreakable record would look like. Anything less and someone just a little bit better could exceed the record.

These aren't really "unbreakable" though are they? I mean, #7 for example, the guy who bought the video game collection off the other guy, all he needs to do is buy one more game independently and now HE has the record. The Donkey Kong high score, unless it's been deemed the absolute highest score one can get, that's still breakable. The presenter even mentions that a 5 year old could be a pro gamer, breaking the record the 6 year old holds for youngest pro gamer. Hate to nitpick guys, but this should just be called "Top 10 Video Game Related Records".

Tournaments aren't the only thing in gaming or in general with games that are tough to set. The casual gamer doesn't get enough credit when beating games alone, something I'd bet more "pro or tourney players" wouldn't be able to do honestly. I agree with MrEasyNah's point. Or try doing what that one dude did who didn't make this list somehow with Tetris.

"The casual gamer doesn't get enough credit when beating games alone" a long time ago i would have agreed. but no nowadays games are pretty easy outside of competitions. i mean dark soul is considered a difficult game yet if youve played trough it once the next playtrough is a breeze. tetris is actually an insane game imo and should have been on this list. i strongly believe its much much more impressive than pac-man. but the zero thing really shouldnt be dismissed. competions involve a lot of variables that are not present in single player games and remaining that consistent for that long is actually insane. and i say that as a huge melee fanboy who hates smash 4.

+DIVAD291 I think it depends on the game, though I do agree that generally speaking games difficulty now days are easier than in the 80's and 90's, though some are still pretty tough and as someone who's competed in certain games while played others casually, I do believe while it's true that the casual gamer would never be on that "pro tourney level" the same can easily be said about that competitive player never being able to say set a record in single player, it just takes a different kind of mindset. For example, in my case I like to play certain MK games more competitively online or off whatever, and know many others who do the same however a lot of those players when asked openly admitted that they couldn't beat MK Mythologies Sub Zero due to the difficulty, now I've done it several times. It's not easy but it can be done. Yeah I agree, Tetris is one of those games that's easy to play but hard to master you know? Especially at a higher level of competition, oh for sure. Pac Man there's door ways to utilize and you can run away to a degree. Tetris as time goes on it speeds up and depending on the mode you're facing an opponent. But on my other point I think it really depends on the gamer/person individually a lot too. I'll admit as a casual Smash player, I'm no where near good enough to play that game competitively, however I am sure I could find hardcore casuals who beat the single player modes faster than the tournament players who tend to focus on just getting good with a character or two.

Plus without an official Guinness steward to officiate it you have to obtain many people to help be witnesses, timers, and steward. Along with multiple recording equipment both video and still images and that is just the tip of everything to do so.

qwertyuiopzxcfgh yes and no. There's a lot of work to get things going for it to follow the guidelines and set up but it's also a lot more mental work to do so. While you and others may say I know someone who has played a lot more hours in one sitting it isn't about proving it it's more of how. If it was like a group game where there's more people taking part of it than all would have to follow the guidelines and should they break one thing it will be an invalid attempt. And if it's like a game like guitar hero or just dance or dance dance revolution you only have a limited time frame to pick a song to play after your last song otherwise it makes it invalid because you have to have the mental ability to just play you can't take your time picking something or have an order that you probably didn't prep before hand that could throw you off or someone taking you down. The work to get to that part is half of it. The other half is making sure you're mentally able to play that game within their guidelines and not your own.

There is that "Endless" mode they have on DDR. If more rhythm games have that, then it shouldn't be as hard to deal with between selecting tracks. Only problem with the time limit to select a track is when you fail in Endless and have to set it back up.

Hawkkiller2 that is true for at home DDR games but DDR has difficulty settings which adds another rule to everything. Which is after playing on one difficulty for 4 hours you have to raise it up to the next level of difficulty. So you would have to exit out of endless mode, reset the difficulty up one or if you want just have it set Heavy mode and play nonstop from there. It is actually easier to play on the DDR machines than an at home version. And another rule for it is that you have to be in a public area where people can see so you can't just do it from the comfort of your own home. You would have to set up in like a park or parking lot or a place of business that the public has access to. And you can't just open up you house for random people to come by. The only way to have it someplace private is to actually pay for one of their own official stewards to be out there for it and it cost a whole hell of a lot of money.

#1 technically can only be broken on the basis on time. Getting all 4 monsters (they are monsters not ghosts) to group up around the 6th key is tough, but possible. And it's a perfect game, so the score is in fact maxed out. the question is, who can do it the quickest, thst us why it probably won't be beat for quite some time

I'm surprised the Guitar Hero Phenom wasn't in the list. No, he has always mained diddy kong. I only found his analysis on zss and 1, i repeat, 1 game against M2K where they were playing on temple, making it pretty obvious to me that he hasnt mained ZSS. Could you please send me a game of him playing ZSS in a proper tournament setting next time? I actually walked in to store where Carrie was doing the Dance Marathon. Positive vibes and everyone was very supportive i even told her that she's crazy for doing this. My first time seeing her with the record, congrats!

Zero dropped Zero Suit Samus a long time ago. He picked up Sheik, dropped her when she got nerfed, and uses Diddy full-time now.

I would honestly have loved to be on Lil Poison's team in a game of Halo. I imagine that everyone he played with on his team was like "I must protect this smile." He was honestly adorable.

You guys should go watch the World Record Speedrun of Mario Kart 64 by Abbey and also the Speedrun record of Super Mario World (Blindfolded). Both of those videos just absolutely blew me away.

I'm pretty blown away with Ms. Swidecki. I stopped by that very game store and i saw that set up and her dancing never thinking to my self that she was going to break the world record. Congrats to her!

should've fixed this video before you released it watchmojo, several of these have already been broken, like the worlds biggest video game collection.

Michael Thomasson actually ran an online video game store, Good Deal Games, so if store inventory counts as a "worlds largest video game collection" than I'm afraid to say I believe Game Stop has everyone beat! Not to mention he sold off his collection 4 years ago for $750k. So he should no longer be considered as having the world's largest collection because he no longer has it.

That guy from 'King of Kong' at about 1:00 into this video is on my Xbox live friends list :). He sent me a friend request a few years ago as he was so impressed with all the gaming records which I myself have achieved over the years, especially on the Pacman Museum game that we were both playing at the time he sent me the request. I could not believe it was THAT GUY from King of Kong,when messaging him, unbelievable! His gamertag on Xbox is 'Zotmeister' See if he accepts your request.

Family legend, my father once set a score in Galaga so high that it crashed the machine. I have whispered this to a few people in passing at conventions, but since I don't have any actual evidence other than my father's word to back it up, this achievement will be just that, a story for me to tell gamers looking to set a record score in a Namco Arcade game.

I forget how his name is spelled exactly but it was for the asteroids record. His name was Steve Graticos in the 80's at a gas station in Streamwood, Il, I believe the gas station was called "piggy bank gas station".
