"despite parent boycotts" - South Park is not a kids show, nor is it meant for kids. Parents need to take responsibility for what they allow their kids to watch.

@@psychobillynumbnuts1 They were probably joking. Even if they weren't it's still up to the parents to monitor what they allow their kids to watch. And the episodes (if you live in the US) are rated TV-14 or TV-MA so it's not like there's no warning.

The handling of the death of Cersei Lannister, Final Battle with the Night King not ending in a sword battle and sudden turn to the Mad Queen for Daenarys Targaryen is easily the most rushed and poorly executed story arcs in the history of television and its not even close. Game of Thrones was the most popular show IN THE WORLD during its run. What makes it so inexcusable is not only were the last 2 seasons cut from its 10 episode format to 7 then to 6 but they made the fans wait 2 years each for the last 2 seasons. That show made hundreds of millions of dollars the fans deserved full seasons each and every season. I could have forgiven the Daenarys turn if they built to it. With the amount of content out that fans made that would have made the end of that show much better too also makes it a long standing wound. Its #1 for me because it was self inflicted and went from critically acclaimed to consumer panned

I don’t ever wanna watch the show again because of the way it ended and anyone I meet that has not watched it I tell them do not start pretend like this show and book does not exist because you will not get an ending. I feel the worst for the purists the book readers I knew several that refused to watch the show and I feel that it was already bad omen for the winds of Winter George R R Martin and I don’t think now it’s ever going to be finished they’ve been reading these books since the 90s.

Judging an entire series based on one bad season is a bit extreme. You should've encouraged your friends to watch the show themselves and have them form their own opinion about the show rather than turning them away from it out of personal spite. It just comes across as ignorance.

South Park has never offended me. Games of Thrones didn’t only show violence toward women, it showed violence toward everyone or did we forget what Ramsey did to Theon, Jaimie’s hand, Greyworm’s worm etc.

@@Morgan-cn2kp your missing it too we weren’t mad just cause of that it was what Sansa said at the feast talking about the rape like it was a good thing that it was because of what Ramsey did that it grew her character. Daenerys in S1 didn’t get much backlash but Sansas was handled so poorly by the writers and her reflection of it and the message it sent was even worse.

I remember hearing about how George R.R. Martin was begging HBO to extend Game of Thrones to a 10 season show in order to properly end it the way he wanted. However despite his pleas he was ignored and the show ended the way it did. It makes me wonder, if the show did have a 10 season run would it ended on a higher note? Perhaps, however due to producers & fans demands it ended up the way it did.

I personally think we shouldn’t force GRRM to write more and finish the GOT books. Particularly because would you rather have it be know as a great piece of literature even if it’s unfinished rather then getting another Cyberpunk Disaster but in book form

@@cailieisidro5758 it's called making fun of celebrities and real life events, "South park made fun of so and so" its an adult comedy cartoon, they have "tackled" literally every sensitive issue and are still going, albeit the comedy aspect has gone down hill over the years due to lack of decent ideas

South Park isn't just randomly offending groups, like with the Religious stuff they either literally just pointed out the ridiculous things that group believes (Scientology) or calls them out on real things (Catholics/Christians CONSTANTLY covering up child sexual abuse)

I personally would of put GoT at the forefront. South Park might of experienced more over _twenty years_ and hundreds of small angry people, but GoT basically pissed the entire world off all at once, ruined any hopes of HBO's continued dominance, and blew up any chance of reboots/prequels/sequels because it soured everyone on the entire premise.

Hey WM, I'm surprised you didn't include honorable (or dishonorable) mentions. One that I would've included was the show that those GoT hacks Benioff and Weiss were planning on doing called Confederate. The moment that announcement was made, there was immediate backlash and boycotts to the point that HBO had to give a half-assed apology and they subsequently cancelled doing the series.

@Arturo Henrik I don't think I was as pissed as most others were. But I certainly understand why they were. I think in general TWD fans were already sick of the big season cliffhangers every year, and the Negan one was the last straw which made them rage quit. All that season the show built up the Negan character without ever seeing him, then he finally appeared in the finale at the end for about 5 minutes and then cut to black at the climax. Not nice.

You cant blame the creators of the 100 for killing off lexa, Alycia Debnam-Carey was doing fear the walking dead at the same time as the 100 and she chose to leave the 100 for Ftwd since she saw that show to be more benafical to her since its still on TV unlike the 100 that ended very terrible plus with the direction the 100 went i dont see where lexa would've fit in the show after season 4

The creators of Southpark has more BALLS than the NBA.

I can't believe that Patrick Mcgoohan 1967 - 1968 series called The Prisoner wasn't on this list after it is so well documented in TV history. when the last episode was aired he had to go into hiding after death threats were made on him. because no one could understand what the series was all bout in the end causing a total uproar after revealing that no6 was no1 all the time.

These shows are so controversial that it be better to have them locked behind the vault of controversial media while the studios have the chance.

Family Guy has also been banned in a few countries .

Another CW show that should've been there is SPN. The show has been criticized for fridging female characters, BYG tropes since 2005. But what broke the camel's back was the finale. The finale erased 15 seasons of characters' development and stories, erased important characters for a bros only ending, Dean Winchester had a pointless death (that hurt many fans with MHI due to it's harmful message that someone with MHI and trauma can only find peace and happiness in death), the erasure of queer characters (Dean, Cas, Charlie and her girlfriend Steve), the erasure of a disabled character (Eileen, who was a deaf character played by a deaf actress who was a hunter and romantic interest of Sam Winchester), Cas who was never seen again too (despite the fact Misha quarantined for two weeks to film the last episodes and he was used as PR bait for the finale, when CW had no intention to bring him back for it) and the fact the finale was used to promote Walker. So, basically the finale pissed of and hurt the majority of the fandom, we started a CW boycott (along with making fundraising campaign to donate money to charities) where other fandoms who were also mad at CW (TVD, The 100, Supergirl, Riverdale, Charmed...)joined the SPN fandom in our outrage and boycott campaign and now CW is doing a lot worse and the result now is that WB and CBS decided to sell CW.

Sad how Game of Thrones was all the rave and now no one really speaks about it anymore. D&D should have expanded it to 10 seasons. Cersei's death was underwhelming, they forgot major plots such as Jaime's redemption in which he should have killed Cersei, Arya just walked around aimlessly, Jon was a complete simp and should have been the one to kill the Knight King, and don't get me started on Dany and Tyrion and BRAN becoming king. Season 8 was a total let down.

If you want you can read my ending! After the extremely disappointing letdown that was the fake season I decided to create my own ending. Who knows when Martin will finish the books so I decided to make my own ending. I promise it’s far more satisfying than that new level of horrible writing that it single-handedly brought down the most popular show of the decade.

If people don't like shows with sex and violence in them, they can just not watch them. It's really that simple.

It's sad that the 100 is only remembered for it's LGBTQ controversy. The relationship didn't even register as a "gay" relationship to me, it was just a relationship. It wasn't the driving force behind the show, and the show had much more to offer than that one thing.

Some of these were more shocking than others but I particularly don't like the ones about Luck and Fear Factor. As someone who likes animals, hearing about the things that would happen behind the scenes and just looking at clips from Fear Factor, it really disgusts me and I'm glad they axed them - hopefully for good too (RIP to the horses, you all deserved so much better). South Park however, I can see why so many people would get offended by the jokes or commentaries on particular issues, but...that's sort of the point of the show XD I am glad though that the creators decided to bring Kenny back - he's one of my favourite characters on South Park and it just wouldn't have been the same without him.

Can you do top 10 members of the Bat family like Alfred Pennyworth and Batgirl who should appear in the DCEU?

"Game of Thrones," a final season so bad fans said, "try again" & it beat out the trivializing of Hitler. There's a LOT to unpack there.

The backlash for The 100 was just plain stupid. The "bury your Gays" trope would only be true if there weren't also thousands of deaths of other characters, both straight and (known or suspected) gay on the show, which there was by that point. Not to mention other openly gay relationships that didn't also experience no deaths, or deaths later, but weren't main cast members. The only reason this got a big backlash was because it was Lexa, if it was any secondary character no one would have batted an eye. Not to mention she had to die for the rest of her arc later on in the city of light, and apparently the finale (I have finished the last season yet).

What about the massive backlash on Castle? Castle was initially renewed, then three days after the renewal, it was announced that both Stana Katic and Tamala Jones had been fired. The massive backlash caused ABC to rescind the renewal and the last episode of Castle to be horribly edited for a pathetic conclusion to an otherwise brilliant television series.

[never seen Fear Factor] I always thought it was people with phobia's basically being put through exposure therapy [there's a treatment like "shock exposure" where the person is basically is subjected to their phobia in a fairly extreme way]. Just having people on the show go through gross stuff for no reason is weird, but...meh. I mean, they signed up for the show knowing they type of stuff it involves. I disagree with eating animals alive or harming them for entertainment, though.

The funny thing about southpark being band in China is that the show never aired there. Since copywrite is not in Chinese vocabulary, they all watched the show illigally. No one “officially” watched Southpark but the show gets banned.

I actually think South Park should be on this list because its meant to offend people. It's a great show, I love South Park but its supposed to offend people. It's like the longest running part of meme culture.
