@@maxnomadtravel Just have to wear a mask still, one can take off the mask inside or outside the restaurants only after you're seated (toilet visits also require you to put the mask back on), shopping requires masks still, public transports as well. Again, thank you for pinning the comment and for having visited! Hope you'll get to see Vianden and Müllertal (Beaufort Castle) etc. eventually, they're both amazing, too :D But Germany has a lot of great places as well, looking forward to visit there, too again (Köln! XD)

Yes, 2 or 3 days to visit Luxembourg are more than enough. It is a lovely, calm and peaceful place. Nature is everywhere around beautiful neighborhoods where walks in the cobbled streets are very pleasant.

Ugh, I really hate this term "the new normal". It makes it sound like things will be this way forever! They WON'T! It may take 1 year, it may take 10 years, but things WILL eventually return to the way they were pre-Corona. People can't live this way forever. You really think countries/cities will never host their festivals again? Festivals that are part of their cultural heritage! Bands will never tour again? Sports stadiums will never fill up again? People will never go on dates again? Dine in restaurants again? NO! The people won't allow it! Things WILL eventually return to the old normal. That's why I prefer calling this the "temporary normal". That being said, I'm kind of angry that Americans are still not welcome in most of the world, when there are countries that had far more cases than us! It's funny how countries like Portugal and Italy are whining about how much money they're losing from not having American tourists, yet they refuse to reopen their borders to us. How much sense does THAT make?

Yes, most people in Luxembourg speak several languages so I'm sure you could find people to practice both your French and your German with. Since Luxembourg is situated right between France and Germany you could also easily visit these countries to practice your language skills there.

Most of the time you are better trying your French than German because many Luxembourgers over a certain age still dislike the Germans because of what they did to the country during the war. I have seen people turn around and walk away from tourists speaking German. The younger generation is a lot more tolerant. The other problem is that as soon as you open your mouth they will start talking back to you in perfect English.
