Great Yarmouth's home ground has the oldest stand still in use, and Matlock has gorgeous surroundings.

I support Birmingham but love watching Gt. Yarmouth if im over that way!!
I think Edgar Street home of Hereford FC deserves a mention for the meadow end and Len Weston stand. Proper old school ground!

Re- watching this I thought just that. Edgar Street's last development was an extension to the main stand in 1989. It is one of the very few grounds left which are almost completely unchanged from before the Taylor Report.
You'd be surprised but Fulham has a section with wooden seats. It gives it a very nice old-fashioned feeling of Craven Cottage.
A friend of mine does FIFA career modes, and currently we are trying to get around to seeing all of the teams he's done careers with. One of them was York City on FIFA 14, so we made the trip to Bootham Crescent before it went in January. I think the move has been delayed, but the York fans we met on that day aren't actually that happy to go. If you do go to Bootham Crescent, get in that terrace behind the goal and drink it in - it's such a lovely old school ground, and I'd recommend the short walk to York Train Station to sample the finest alcohol The York Tap has to offer, if you're able to drink of course.
The only game I've attended in England was at York City. Don't remember too much but the atmosphere was decent despite City losing.
I'm lucky enough to have been to 3 of these wonderful old grounds (York, Boston and Wrexham). The game at Wrexham was a Europa League game between Airbus UK and FK ventspils.
Dartford fan here. Weymouth’s ground was a good visit, a proper old school stadium

Mate I’m a Chelmsford City fan and I 100% agree. Weymouth have such a nice ground and should definitely be on this list!

There is somethig about Bostons ground and I just loved it, been to many, many grounds as a Stockport fan but Boston's always been a favourite
I went to Bath City on Saturday when they took on the mighty Dulwich Hamlet. Despite the result I really enjoyed the stadium and it was my favourite ground I've visited with Dulwich
Fratton park is an old school club, old school stadium, old school fans, brilliant to watch and sing along.

I didn’t say it was.
Been to Bootham Crescent and York Street last few years agree both have character shame to see them go but times move on good work as usual nlyt
When I started watching football in the early 1990s the kind of open air toilets you find at York City were considered perfectly normal and wouldn't raise a comment.
Go to Woking FC’s Laithwaite Community Stadium. Brilliant atmosphere with a great big stand one end and also a big Terrance down the other end. Great community values but a roaring atmosphere during the matches

I always think that big stand looks SO out of place with the rest of the ground and just looks weird.
I would have included Lewes FC the Dripping Pan on this list. Completely unique and amazing ground to visit. The corporate beach huts are an amazing touch.

Agreed, quirky old ground with lovely views of the South Downs. Also the best burger I've ever had at a football ground!

Nice to see my Beloved Edgeley Park in the list. A stadium of great character and facilities now. Also nice to see Twerton Park. Been there a couple of times when Stockport played Bristol Rovers. However, it is a great ground when sunny, but awful when it is raining.
Was at Bootham Crescent in 97 or 98. York fans chanted "you fat bastard' at their own, fairly chunky 10 year old mascot. Poor kid, but still very funny.
Altrincham FC's ground is spectacular for old style built bit by bit ad-hoc. Deffo worth visiting Moss Lane.
missing HEREFORD love the stand with the seats on top and standing on the bottom enjoy ever time I’ve gone there
I'm only missing Maidenhead out of your choice of 10 so I think I might visit some time soon. I like Barrow a lost in time ground but it's your choice and I think you chose well.
Awesome video
I’m lucky enough to have been to 7 of these, I’m doing Stockport next week. Absolutely love Bootham Crescent, BostonUnited and Baths ground
I have been to Aggborough many a time with Wrexham, i remeber quite a few years ago now playing there in 2003 i believe, the newest stand was under construction and it was a windy day, the scaffolding collapsed onto the pitch and caused a big delay., we won 2-0 that day and was all that bit sweeter as a good family friend played for Harriers at the time (Sean Parrish).
I really liked the Boston Utd Ground, Brilliant!!! Quirky!!!👍
Can't stand on the grass banks now at Chorley due to safety reasons nevertheless a charming little ground with plenty of cover if it's raining
I absolutely intend on going to see a small supported queen's Park play in the big capacity hampden before they move out at the end of the season.
Wooden seats at Roots Hall as well (East stand).
Have you ever been to Ilkeston fc. / none league .
Went to York to watch Kettering play and the stadium is full of character a proper old stadium,it reminded me of are old ground Rockingham road. It's shame that it's been demolished but York has need a new stadium for a while and with club's ambition to get back to the football league it's fully understandable.
Should have had Hitchin Town on there, very unique Wouldn't have had Kiddy on there, great ground but mainly modern
You should mention Bristol Rovers' Memorial Ground..........definitely non-league !
Belper Town is worth a visit, with the mills just outside
When he stops rabbiting on its a good video!
Best ground gotta be Chesham United’s, the meadow. Very old fashioned, continuous concrete standing all the way round, behind the goals there’s roof which create a good atmosphere
Scarborough's old Mccain stadium was canny
Visit Harrogate railway athletic football club
Workington used to be a football league club up to the 60's I believe...

Workington was a football league club until the summer of 1977 when they were voted out of the league after coming bottom of the league and were replaced by Wimbledon.
Maidenhead United 🖤🤍 Gonna miss york road if we move 😭

Bower Fold?
No Barrow - Holker Street?
Scottish champion side Dunfermline athletic's stadium has amazing character with the main stand being the same since the 1950's. COYP⚫⚪🔴

You 'get' why character matters which is great.
Go and have a look at Marston road, home of Stafford Rangers
Workington have shelved there new stadium plans
Can’t believe Chorley and Stockport get in but Moss Lane, Altrincham doesn’t
Stockport County 🔵⚪️
Most of these are former Football League clubs so aren't really 'non-league' as such. What about the top 10 clubs who have never been in the FL?
I know the likes of bootham Cresent has character but its a pain to keep patching these old school grounds all the time
I will say St Albans too.
Merthyr Town ?
to late for Basingstoke fc loved there old ground sad it's shut
Aldershot
I didn’t know you work for Kidderminster.
North Shields Appleby Park 1900 1992
Chester??
...except Kidderminster Harriers won't be moving from Aggborough...
Brendan Rodgers would be proud of these grounds

I really hate Boston. It is a terrible ground in my opinion. I do hope when they do move it will be a huge improvement. Poor stand and so high up. Not a good day out for me. Have to agree with Wrexham. Love it. Great atmosphere and great pies. Like you I'm a bit biast and my favourite ground for non league is Altrincham FC. Moss lane is a great little ground that is actually near the train station and good club house and atmosphere. Makes moss lane thee best ground.

Nah. Underhill was really nothing special. Unusual sloping pitch but that was it.
Thanks for this. Modern stadia are soulless, often overpriced, places just perfect for the plastic fans who sadly inhabit so many grounds these days. Older grounds are just so much more interesting, unique, quirky, fun, with great atmosphere. Of course it's all about the money, not the football or the fans, but we just let the money men get away with it. I'd recommend Workington AFC as the best old school ground, followed closely by Hereford United, Bristol Rovers, Kings Lynn, Bath City, Great Yarmouth, Chorley....Against Modern Football.
more pics of the grounds would've been better, you never even showed terraces and stands of your own team you support. Surely you could've taken some pics while there ffs!!
Boston United share the same nickname and club badge as Plymouth argyle.......
Bostons ground is the worst I have ever been to

@@veganfishcake yes indeed.
These aren't the 'top ten' by any stretch of the imagination, you should cover the lower reaches of non league more there's so many grounds with so much more character than these national league/ N/S grounds.
Great Yarmouth have the oldest purpose built sports stand in the world....
Come on, you could have selected more proper non League grounds, as these are mostly recent football league grounds.
Well, very sad to see two more clubs moving into a McDonald's Franchise... Hope the housing complexes which will replace the former sacred sites are haunted and nobody can live there. Leave true football stadiums alone, we are tired of generic sanitized boxes.
Wrexham is the best ground on this list🏴
Meadow Lane is a much Better Stadium than any of these
biased to NLN
