I found a ©LOUDBOX mini at a thrift store. Cost me $25.00 and it was in perfect operational condition. The vinyl was well warn, but the metal finish was perfect and unscratched. Can't believe this was passed over by other shoppers. And did I mention it only cost $25.00.00!!!!!!! LOVE this thing with my Taylor!

Really cool to find this video; you connected with me right away by mentioning that you play nylon string almost all the time (so do I; Washburn C64CE and Cordoba Stage). And also looking at your pedal board and seeing a Boomerang 3! I’ve had mine for 10 years; love that thing… thanks for an interesting view of the Loudbox Mini; mine is arriving today, I can hardly wait…

Possibly one of the best reviews for this gear- reviewer showed the actual gear performing in a live environment and not in some room in a guitar shop studio.

I’m an amp newbie and have this same loudbox mini amp. Is there a simple answer for preventing that squealing feedback I sometimes get when leaning toward the mic while singing and playing guitar ?

  • @deanwolfechannel

Rolling off a bit of high end eq, make sure the speaker is not angled right at the mic can usually remedy that.....good idea for a video topic. Placement of the mini can help, try different positions and angles

I've had mine for years and I love it! The only problem is that over time the exterior finish deteriorates. I think it's a design flaw. After searching on-line, I have found that this is a very common occurrence.

Good review and great playing! I have both the Loudbox Mini and a Fender Acoustasonic 90. I've gone over completely to gigging with the Mini because, as you say, there is a certain mojo to it, plus, the simple reverb and chorus sound much better and smoother than the Fender, despite the many choices for effects the Fender offers.

so im confused, is it battery and mains or is that the mini charge? I really need one that does both battery and can be plugged in mains. it also needs to be light, with clear/ loud vocals. Is this the right one for me?

I have one and I like it a lot. Better than amps costing three times as much.But. It is not loud enough for anything but the smallest of venues, if that's what you were hoping for. Not a complaint, that would be very unreasonable. Also, the DI out is mic level, not line. I think that would have been better.

Another reason: Controls on the front!!! Im old school, and prefer that when I want to change settings I can actually see the knobs. On a dark stage when you wanna quickly adjust or deal with something, I find it an advantage to be able to see the controls that I need to adjust. Being old school, Im not quite understanding how placing them out of sight is an advantage, but hey thats just me!
