    After trying this amp and the Boss Acoustic Pro Singer, I purchased the Boss. Man, what a KILLER amp........VERY high quality sounds and it has so many features. Although the Boss does come with a supplied "A and B" foot switch, I highly recommend also purchasing the Boss GA-FC foot controller ( 6 foot switches ), and you can actually use BOTH foot switch controllers for complete control of everything on the amp. If you sing as well as play acoustic guitar, the harmonizer that comes built into the Boss makes it a no brainer. The harmonizer also has 3 settings: high or low harmonies OR unison vocals. You can also do some fine adjusting to the harmony feature, or go with the default setting. I am absolutely in love with my Boss Acoustic Pro Singer amp.

    Considering a Fishman, hands down this was the BEST demo (and I've watched 2 dozen). Explained all features then played the same progression while adjusting each control. I'm buying one tomorrow.

    I was stuck between this and the Boss Amp Live or Pro. There is an artist package deal on Sweetwater that saves hundreds... And this amp has a higher wattage. I went ahead and finally decided on the Fishman after watching this video. Thank you!

    Are you happy with your decision to go with the Fishman? I too am looking at this vs the Boss Acoustic Singer Pro, esp because of the effects the Boss brings.

    I have this amp and i love it. I just dont understan what he is doing at around 5:11 he seems to be adjusting Effects A and B simultaneously. I didn't think you could play both effects A nd B at the same time and needed a Foot switch. BTW which foot switch do you need for this amp? Thamk you.

    I have had the Fishman Loudbox Artist for about 5 years now and love it. The only problem I have experienced along with many Loudbox owners is the delamination of the brown Tolex covering. After a couple of years the surface layer starts to peel off. I know Fishman offer a repair service in the US but it is not much use to us in the UK. I am going to try to find a repair guy to recover the Tolex areas. Otherwise it is the best.

    Question… if you turn the master volume all the way down… does it affect the D.I. signals? I would assume not, but… didn’t see that information in the manual either 🤷🏼

    In order to use the effects-loop, with a looper for both channels, do you need to have 2 loopers, 1 for each effect loop (each send-return pair)?

    I'm a complete novice.I connected my Ukulele to it. I found I got a lot of feedback and wasn't too sure as too how to set it up. Also have a Rode NTA-1 Condensor mic which I could not turn up too loud due too feedback.I guess I just don't understand music well enough yet and I'm trying to run before I can walk. Same with the effects,I didn't know what to put the settings on to get the best out of it.

  • @gravsjo

    @gravsjo

    Late answer but use dynamics for live gigs or rehearsals such as SM57 for instruments and SM58 for vocals, it's easiest to use line instrument and then with microphone only for the vocals. Of course NTA-1 Condenser will feedback because it picks up every sound in the room. About the effects... most people seems to enjoy vocals with reverb more than vocals dry without effects (if you look at the youtube stats and listen to a lot of vocal covers there is always reverb present). I think maybe reverb makes a singer sound better because it simulates a bigger room = more power. So try up to 20-40% reverb and see what it does for you, maybe more if you want to, but don't keep it 0%. Flanger, chorus etc... those are more often used on instruments.

    @@gravsjo Thanks, so I bought the wrong type of microphone?

  • @gravsjo

    @gravsjo

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@borocavalier It depends if you want to have a cheap home studio setup and record stuff. That's where you'll use the Rode NTA-1 most often. Or a live stream session with headphones maybe. I have about 8 different condensers and 8 dynamics such as SM57 or 58 because I need both. I've rarely(never?) seen a large membrane condenser used live on stage, except for small membranes for drumkit overhead.

  • @borocavalier

    @borocavalier

    @@gravsjo Thanks. That makes it a bit clearer. Different Mics for different uses. I am just in the home(small room) and learning. Yes my Mic is very sensitive, hence the feedback, I think. In hindsight I probably would have been better going with a Dynamic Mic. I guess the Condenser type Mic I have would be used in a vey quiet Recording Studio setup?

    Joey Fagan Hi Joey, It’s just a simple four chord progression that seemed like it would work for the demo. That pattern is likely in countless other songs, so it very well might be in a Staind song too!
