Excellent list of great parks. We just spent a few nights at Sandbanks in May and absolutely loved it. Will be back there and to some other of the Ontario parks. As always, safe travels.

Just subbed. I appreciate how you reviewed every Park thoroughly and gave it a fair review. As an employee of the Parks, it's always nice to see the smaller Parks getting exposure. Have you ever visited Long Point? 4th oldest Park, and the Southernmost one. Lovely beaches, amazing staff, and dunes to rival Sand Banks.

Thank you so much for the amazing information and suggestions. I am from Minnesota and taking a roadtrip from Thunder Bay to Ottawa/Montreal/QC. I am so excited to drive through there in just over a week. Do you have any suggestions on how I can get day passes to just go into the park (I won't be camping). I looked in to the Summer pass but I couldn't justify paying $75 CAD for my trip that I will only be in ontario for a few days. I am crossing into Canada at the Pigeon River/Grand Portage area in Minnesota/ON and their welcome center is closed this time of year. Can I still get a park pass without someone there? How does that work this time of year? I've tried to call the 1-800 number for Ontario tourism, and no one seems to answer, haha. Thank you so much for any information you may have! :)

Thank you, You can get day passes at the park offices of each park,, for most parks you should be ok, however if you want to stop at the popular parks with the falls colours, you may have to reserve a day pass up to 5 days in advance (specifically on weekends). You can use the reservation site for this - reservations.ontarioparks.com
