Actually the pinaka system has a firing range of 90km now increased to 120km. It also has a reload time of only 4mins and not 15 mins.

Why you upload old reports. Indian Pinaka MBRL has a range of. MK1 - 40KM MK2 - 90KM MK3 - 120KM Under development Both MK1& MK2 versions are operational.. then why you are showing only 40KM range?

The upgraded Polonez-M has passed all trials and has been accepted into service by the Belarusian army as of May 2019. Its supplies have already begun. Upgraded Polonez has an increased range of 300 km and a higher share of domestic Belarusian components. It can fire a 480 kg warhead tactical missile

We should build modified HIMARS/M270 MLRS launchers for the rebooted Ground Launched Cruise Missile, or (land launched tomahawk) We can go even further with modified variations for other missiles such as, the SM-6 Standard Missile 6, LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile) or really any missile capable of being launched from the Mk41 launcher...

The information about ASTROS II do Brasil is wrong! The ASTROS II system in Brazil has an AV-TM 300 missile that can reach up to 1200 km, its informalities are wrong, it has not set the "Reloading time" and the "Full Salvo duration".

Actual current range of pinaka is 75 km not 40 km and work on 120 km pinaka is currently in progress

In this video, they have referred to pinaka mk 1 I.e 45 km in range , pinaka mk2 is 75 and is being worked on to increase the range to 90 km, and pinaka mk 3 variant shall have a range of 120 km.

did anyone think of Smart Targeting MLRS that can fly at intercontinental range? A rocket that can fly from a country to another country or else, a Hypersonic Kinetic Ammunition MLRS.

Why does it need to be mobile and fire multiple missile if it’s got intercontinental range? In that case the launch vehicle is really cheap and the middle is really expensive.

As I understand a howitzer has a range of 30+km, so a MLRS has the advantage of 50km or longer over a gun, although the cost of each ammo is more expensive. So why would anyone develop a URAGAN MLRS (@2m) with only 34km range?

I do not know the exact answer, but there are several other advantages over howitzers: 1) Payload: A rocket has a way larger TNT payload comapared to a howitzer shell. 2) In the design of this rocket, maybe more payload was favoured to additional propulsion. This maybe explains the short range of the rockets, which could then make a bigger "BOOM" similar rockets with longer ranges. 2) With a missile rocket system, more misiles can be delivered in a shorter amount of time compared to a howitzer, creating a devastating effect.

Honestly, they could make top five, but only if the rest of the list didn’t change. The problem they have to deal with is that the nations already in the top five aren’t just going to sit idly with their existing equipment. During those five years, those nations will also improve their designs or release newer models, which Iran would then need to compete with and still land short.
