In this Content we will talk about the HIMARS rocket system.
The design and specification of the missile and most importantly how the precision missile works in coordination with the F35 fighter jets.
Developed for the American Army in the late nineteen ninety's the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) is a light multiple rocket launcher that is installed on a family of medium tactical vehicle.
The HIMARS is a lighter version of the M270 and the solution is a fielded, combat tested, highly reliable system that has surpassed all performance standards.
The HIMARS is made up of a carrier, the automobile section called the M1140 truck frame and a Fire Control System (FCS) that computes all fire mission data, and a Launcher-Loader Module LLM portion that executes all fire mission-related tasks.
The HIMARS vehicle has a length of 23 feet/ 7 meter with a width of 7 feet 10 inches (2.4 meter) and it has a height of 10 feet 6 inches.
The vehicle weighs approximately 10,886 kilogram (24,000lb) Which is pretty light for a rocket launcher carrier.

Correction/ Detail Explanation from Viewers Comments. 1) verdebusterAP (replied to a question) from Celestial Existence How gps signals can be received when the missile travels at Mach 3 moreover the gps is inaccurate when the object is moving ? Answer: The missile use what's called inertial navigation system (INS) INS uses a combination of various factor to get the missile to target GPS refines the targeting data so the missile is much more accurate Thanks to advances in technology, INS is far far more accurate Again also thanks to GPS-jammers, the US developed newer sensors to counter jamming Example Circular error probable (CEP) , basically how weapons accuracy is measured with out GPS is 200-300 meters GPS can reduces CEP to about 10 meters or less In case GPS is jammed, the newer sensors developed can achieve a CEP of 30-50 meters Lastly, to use HIMARS missiles against a moving target, it would have to be a very high value target or asset Its called predicted none line of sight Basically , a forward observer provides the target course and speed They take the target speed and combine with the missile speed which depends on how far the missile has to travel and come up with point of impact Based on target speed of 40 mph , it will reach this point in 1 min 12 second They designed that point and fire The M30/31 have 200lbs warhead so it does not have to be direct hit They don't use this method unless its absolutely necessary 2) " nichevo1 " Let me try. How GPS signals can be received when the missile travels at Mach? 3? I do not know, but my telephone can accurately gauge me driving at 100 miles an hour. And that's with music streaming. High performance military systems and in particular those using the military GPS signal presumably have higher performance capabilities. I would think that the designers were aware that they would be dealing with entities traveling at high speeds. Do you assert a performance limitation of GPS in vehicles traveling at a certain speed? You ask a second question about inaccurate GPS on a moving object. Either It's the same question as the first, or you mean that GMLRS doesn't have a seeker. Maybe they could put one of those in the nose of this thing where they have the extra space. Meanwhile, aside from volley fire by dead reckoning, which I believe our host states is current practice, if you have somebody steadily designating it, I don't know, but it might be able to receive GPS updates in flight. That would be interesting to note in a later update. Anyway, that was never in its brief. But we love to stick more gadgets on everything so I'm sure the D variant will have a trimode unit for another mil ;-) Third verse, same as the first. Military signal is more jam-resistant, military hardware is more jam-resistant. 3)" Joshua Thomas " As a former 13M (multiple launch rocket system operator) The m270A1 is much faster over ruff terrain than the m1083 truck that himars is based on. it accelerates faster as well because 1083 trucks have very bad acceleration. Tracks over any other surface besides paved roads are aloso superior. 4)" Hypersonic Hobo " (Well explained regarding the efficiency between HIMARS vs M270A) At the ranges HIMARS plays at you almost never need to leave the road unless there are just no roads, so functionally it will almost always be faster than the M270 in a European theater. What it loses in a rocket pod it gains in mobility, far easier maintainability (wheels beat tracks on maintenance every day of the week) and fuel consumption. These aren't the sexy aspects of warfare but an army marches on it's stomach. In the era of GPS guidance where one rocket can take out almost any target if you are using HIMARS as a strategic bomber as Ukraine is against depot's and HQ's you won't feel the loss of a rocket pod as much but you will appreciate how easy it is to care for and how unbelievably fast it is. Military vehicles being primarily tracked ones when you talk about road speed limits. And at a theatre scale 20 kph adds up fast it will take 4 hours to drive what the Himars can in 3, that can add up to multiple extra launches per day.

As long as the American people do not repent for their atrocities, for supporting tyranny and cynical lies, the Russians will do everything to destroy your state.

But it is still not clear why the combat module is twice as wide as the missile container? Are there any supporting mechanisms in the sides?

@@Aitelly. Unfortunately, the wrongful use of “American” is rife, and it’s something that should be stopped, because even if you write North America, on your phone, then you are offered the US flag as if the US “is” north america, when it is not even fifty percent of the northern continent, and this is hugely disrespectful to the other North American countries…………… Also, this misuse of “america” is just a continuation of the earlier(1812) idea of forcibly annexing Canada 🇨🇦 (which lead to the US forces being beaten back out of Canada 🇨🇦 and right the way down to New Orleans, which is when the US was given the white house by the British army, before they went back to Canada 🇨🇦) and of the times when the US annexed as much of Mexico 🇲🇽 and the indigenous Indians peoples lands (by wiping out around ninety percent of those people, in every way that they could) as possible, in the hopes of the US making the north, along with the many annexed islands throughout the Pacific, into an empire………….. And all the while, the US was making the U.K. out to be as bad as possible, even though the US was at least as bad, if not worse, because the British never actually wiped out any of the people, because they were only interested in trade, which is why the British empire is known as the accidental empire…………
