@@samfitzpatrick7891 That means nothing through. Championships or victorys aren't measured over 3 seasons. It goes season by season Would you rather beat your teamate twice in 3 seasons or only beat your teammate once but have more overall points in those 3 seasons? It's totally irelevent. Hamilton beat him twice and button beat him once. What does it matter if Button had more overall points? If 2 football teams are competing for the title for 3 seasons the team that lost twice and won once isn't going to boast or care that they had more points overall. They still lost twice and only won once. This "Button had more points over 3 years" is pointless and means nothing. Hamilton beat in 2 out of 3 seasons. Thus he was better.

The BAR Honda in 2004 was the only car that consistently kept up with Ferrari's F2004 in pace. Hence why they finished 2nd in the standings that year. Much like Redbull Honda last year :)
Button was my favourite driver from the day he arrived in F1 until the day he retired. Such a gent, such a legend and extremely talented. He deserved to achieve more in the sport than he did but I don't think he will ever be forgotten.
Remember when he jogged back to the pit after winning the 2009 Monaco GP, my father and I really felt like everyone that year that something unusual was happening to F1 with this team and driver on their way to take both crowns. We were so happy for him as he always looked like a really nice chap.
Suzuka 2011 deserves at least an honourable mention. All of his McLaren wins up until that point could at least be partially contributed to chaotic or changing weather conditions. But on that day, it was just a regular race with no luck, chaos and retirements involved, where Vettel, Alonso and Button found themselves in a three-way battle for the win in pretty much equal machinery. And Button got the better of them, even after Vettel had shoved him off the track at the start. That was a masterclass drive, right up there with the greatest of the sport at that time.
A true legend
