fernando in 2012 reminds me of schumi in 97/98 or senna in 93 - arguably more impressive than the eventual champion, driving the wheels off the car all year long.

Alonso was in the form of his life in 2012. He definitely took the most out of every opportunity he had but the Ferrari F2012 wasn't as bad as some people try to make it out to be. You can't challenge for the title in F1 without a good car even if you're Alonso. The Ferrari F2012 struggled in qualifying but was a good car in race trim.

I kinda agree, McLaren was that year (if we not counting few races) definitely fastest car on the track, but because of their reliability issues, they were losing a lot of points. Red Bull was sometimes great, sometimes just "good enough". And Lotus with Mercedes (Mercedes really just on some tracks) also impressive. As you wrote, Ferrari wasn't "that bad", at least at end of the season, they started really poorly (even Sauber were quicker), but developed the car through the season, but so as Red Bull. It was a crazy season, but nevertheless, Alonso shouldn't be nowhere close to fight for the title, maybe like P5 in my opinion.

The Ferrari was awful. How Fernando got to within 3 points was a miracle and don’t forget he got taken out by the Shamiltion instigated accident at Spa and Kini ramming him in Japan. But he locked up for 300m when his best buddy Vettel was in front at Brazil

You could also use a background for the texts, a simple black square with the opacity at 60% for example, it would be better to read. You're doing a great job but there's always room for improvement.

Great analysis - things in there I wouldn't have noticed without them being pointed out (e.g. brake bias change. Reaffirms that there really is an argument for Alonso as the greatest. If you want to take it up a level, do the next analysis video with a voice-over to avoid (or minimising) the pausing to read. Watching Jolyon Palmer and Anthony Davidson to see what you can learn from their presentation if it helps. Also, a clip of the TV footage showing the moves from trackside would top it off to see the whole move.
