    Crazy that Sakic started his career playing with peter Stastny and ended it playing with Paul, played with both father and son that's a long career

    It was so beautiful. It was right there. He picked it up and he couldn't get the picture over with fast enough. He was already handing it to him. He never even thought about holding it up. Nothing comes close to that selflessness displayed right there with that same opportunity and stage. I dont even bother trying to hide the tears anymore.

    I was a kid in probably 2007 or 2008, my hockey team got to play during the intermission at pepsi center. I had to play on the other team because there were too many kids on my team. As a consolation I got interviewed by Allan Roach after the scrimmage. He asked me who my favorite player was. I’ll never forget saying “Joe Sakic” and hearing the crowd go nuts. Super Joe. One of one
