there are many out there who can play better than kalyan baruah like conrad fernandes from goa, advait kannan, monash roy from agartala, sonam sherpa and so on..... its lame to call him no 1. in india

Ruata Renthlei, K.Hminga, Mhaseve Tetseo, Nash Longkumer, Arenlong Longkumer, Bul Tlau, etc

Come to northeast India especially Nagaland. You'll find tons of much better guitarists than those. It's just that we aren't exposed and our sound system aren't as good. The only problem is our vocals. Ofcourse there are some, but most of them doesn't fit metal or Rock bands.

North east guitarists do not get the due recognition because they are never out of northeast like Mumbai etc. Except a few like Anirudha Baruah, Kalyan Baruah, Rudy Wallang or Sonam Sherpa.

Many renowned players are missing from the list... To name a few Kalyan baruah, Jinti kalita (I was his student btw), krishna pradhan, felaxis from shillong, sanjay das, keba Jeremiah & sanjeev Thomas (both played For ARR for a long time) & many more

Thanks Mr. Hemanga Das. Kalyan, Rudy (Wallang) Arjun Sen (Popularly known as 'A.J).', all three of them are from from the North-east. Pretty strange that these three guitarists failed to make it in the top 10 list of Mr. Abhishek yadav. Rour N.E., request you Mr. Abhishek Yadav to come over to the N.E. ( And why "Shillong is known as "The Mecca Of Rock Music" in India, where every 2nd (or maybe all) has a guitar in their household, and 'They knows how to play it too'! And this applies for almost all other hill & plain states as well...*!

I am a dead fan and lover of Western Music in all genres n been listening to music for than half decade or more, and the best guitarist n drummers n vocalist for western music I have great respect for artists from the North East of India including Sikkim n the Hills of Darjeeling n Kalimpong...n also neighbouring Nepal, especially from Kathmandu...great musicians, no match...

i have collected 1,000 pieces of guitar,mandolin,rabab etc from film industry + Notations in Sargam and Stave Notation. Can you please help me marketing it ?
