Yeah they took their original vision and forced that ending on us rather than giving us the story’s organic ending. Likely happened due to the extra seasons, but they can’t have us happy for a married Barney and Robin to pull the rug out on so many layers.

@@shannond7437 Barney & Robin shouldn't have married. Most of s9 was wasted on the lead up to the wedding to 2 people who made it clear for years that they don't want commitment, monogamy etc.

@@davidz2562 But that’s just it, they spent the majority of that time showing us how they did grow up and wanted to be together. Honestly the knee jerk was back to Barney’s old ways. Not saying they were meant to be originally, but the story they gave us made much more sense for Barney & Robin together.

The only good things about the finale: - Marshall & Lily were not ruined - Barney became a dad

I didn’t mind the mother dying sine the show is about the journey and not the ending. But why make Ted and Robin a thing. What they could’ve done was then funeral was recent and Making Ted remember everything that led to him meeting her and giving his kids a lesson about everything happens for a reason and not look at the past in a bad way. Or at least his kids can tell him that since Ted thinks about the past alot

@@hectorarredondo6929 What's good about Victoria?! She messes him about for weeks, then suddenly moves 4,000 miles away, expecting Ted to move with her. When he doesn't, she expects him to wait for her, while she quickly begins a new relationship with Klaus. She suddenly reappears, expecting Ted to drop everything & marry her!

I have to say that I Hated how Robin and Barney divorced after spending a season on their wedding

I'm fine with them breaking up, but the way it was handled; spending so long on the wedding just for the divorce to happen, really ruined things

I have to say that I don’t mind that choice. It’s kind of a reverse of what they did Marshall and Lilly. We spent an entire season building up to their wedding but the actual episodes of it were minimal. The plus side is we got to see their marriage for seasons after. In retrospect, we have Barney and robin focusing a full season on their wedding yet it ending. There’s something oddly poetic about it that I find. Though I still hate ted ending up with robin.

My two favorite didn't make the list. Ted hearing Tracey sing La Vie en Rose for the first time and the airport scene at the end of Three Days of Snow. Marshall greeting Lily with the marching band gets me every time. Hell, I'm crying as I type this.

That airport scene I could watch it everyday and I think it would make me cry everyday, the other one that I was waiting for was on the last season when Ted let’s go of Robin at the beach.

When Barney became a father was the most touching moment for me. When he was speaking to his new born baby I was crying my eyes out - it was do beautiful scene 💛 So for me your no. 5 is totally my no. 1

My thoughts exactly. Whenever i rewatch it, i stop the video at the point of ted and tracy meeting at the train station and say "And kids, that's how i met your mother!". I like to imagine that tracy then told her husband off for droning on forever, and dragged him to the mclarence where theyre supposed to meet everyone.

HIMYM does this a lot, but I really love how they reframe Barney’s same words from giving up on love after Robin to loving his daughter with all he has. That always gets me.

Season 6 was amazing and very emotionally intense. It really solidified the show for me as it reached and established themes that some sitcoms could only DREAM of ever achieving.

Everyone is doing their own thing in Season Six, Barney dealing with his Dad issues, Zoe and Ted. Marshall and Lily's trying to conceive, couple with that Marshall's Dad's death, and for the first time since Season One, Robin isn't dating anyone for a long period of time.

When Ted & Tracy first met , the emotional connection I felt was unreal , that scene had such a huge impact

Barney meeting his daughter is definitely my number 1. No matter how many times I watch it, I break down crying. The only reason why I rewatch the finale over and over again

Barney and Robin were meant to be, they were each others greatest love, forcing the whole Robin and Ted situation just for the main character not to end alone was too awful

It's true that ending was rushed and had many bad parts,but barney and Robin breaking up is not one of them,they shouldn't have made the entire season about their wedding to end up in a divorce,they should've shown their marriage and how it isn't working for like a season or so

I always loved the episode where, during Marshal and Lilly’s breakup, Barney keeps stealing girls from Marshal, then when he flies to San Francisco to convince Lilly to return to Marshal we find out why.

Ted cheering up Robin after learning she can’t have kids hits differently after the series finale. At first it was tender but now I just see it as him trying to get into her pants.

I don't know about you, I was crying throughout watching this. Haha

Although Barney having a kid is a nice thing about the ending, it is highly unrealistic. Barney had been with 300+ women in his life and said himself that he had tried years training his boys to swim the other way but couldn't. It was implied that he is infertile just like Robin and suddenly he gets someone pregnant just like that.

Kids if you want to see the real friendship, just watch himym! And it would also teaches you the important life lessons.

I always thought that Ted was telling the story of how he was in love with Aunt Robin. I liked the ending, it made sense to me. I did however hate that we didn't get more of Ted and Tracy. But it was how he met her

How i met your mother is one better sitcoms of 2000s and even though that the final season had many unnecessary episodes this show will be always be iconic.

Was anyone else annoyed at Ted when he broke off his friendship with Barney? It seemed like typical Ted immaturity. He had a girlfriend at the time, Robin isn’t his object to be offended about, and it had been a decent amount of time from when they slept together. Plus Ted literally told Barney he still had feelings for Robin THE DAY BEFORE HIS WEDDING. I don’t know I’m just so pressed lmao

Sill hate the ending of HIMYM but all in all it was an amazing series!

I don't know if I'd like to date someone like Ted, but man I'd give my life to have a friend like him!! I cried my eyes out when I watch the episode where he tries to cheer up Robin!!❤ And Highway to Hell plays and the 🎄's lights.... is just priceless ❤

Even though I don’t like what is shown on screen during it (and after it) in the shows original ending, the speech Ted gives at the end of Last Forever Part 2 brought me close to crying when I heard it.

I'm still pissed off at the ending. The ending would have been easier to take if we hadn't have been so invested in the mother. If Ted and Robin were the end game all along we shouldn't have met the mother until the very end.

Tracy doesn't turn up until late in HIMYM. They had to have her be in it enough for it to be believable that they fall in love.

the more i watch the show the more i realize both how lucky Robin is to have 2 good men who love her that much and how much she is messed up she had several chances with both Ted and Barney and could never get it to last but she still got to be happy in her own way

@@beamanlangit6869 the show is good in general. Just 1 problem. He didn't meet the mother until the last season and when he did its a huge disappointment. They need to like alter the name or maybe make the mother the main character for like 3 or more season. Not 1 season and she gone on 10 episode hiatus

Barney with his daughter was only saved by NPH acting. The rest of the finale is a piece of garbage that ruins all the characters (except marshall) and makes seasons 6-9 completely pointless. Worst finale in tv history.

Marshall is by far the lesser of the 5. His only role is as Lily's partner. He's rarely a good friend, usually ignores Robin & is hostile to Barney. He's dull & judgmental. Well hold on In my opinion Marshall was the best character in the whole series. He was always true to his friends and never judged or provoked anyone for whatever they were doing. He was just cool with everything. He never slept with countless women and was always loyal to Lily despite Lily breaking his heart when she moved to San Francisco alone. Well I think everyone makes a favorite charcter based on their own personalities coz they can see themself in them.
