Did daytrip to Yoho 2 weeks ago from Banff. Parking at Emerald Lake packed out in morning so returned to Natural Bridge as passed on road to Emerald Lake. Following that drove onto Wapta Falls, must climb the ridge at base of falls for spectacular view but be prepared to get very wet. Note there is no right turn from interstate to Wapta Falls trail road, need to go past to find crossing point to eastbound carriageway. After that returned to Emerald Lake where it was much quieter, took 2 hour walk around the lake which was both interesting enchanting, path for first half going clockwise then muddy trail for rest of circuit. Finished day with visit to Takakka Falls, a fitting end to our visit.
Love this video

Most of this was filmed in August! But there’s some footage from other trips that was July and even September. October will be nice, colder and maybe some snow but I think you will probably get some awesome fall foliage!
I enjoyed your video - thank you!! I'm in the preliminary phase of planning a trip in September 2023 and had not considered YoHo until now. Can you share what type of lenses you find useful on your hikes? One looks like a 70-200...what about your wide angle? I have several to chose from but don't think I need to carry them all.
Amazing video, lots of useful info. Quick one: How much is it covered in Snow if I were to visit in early June ?
thanks a lot your your perfect and incredible explanation about the Yoho 10 beautiful places.. have a wonderful day..

I absolutely love this video and all your other Canadian Rockies collection!! I have watched them many times and planned many hikes w my family after watching them. Please keep posting more. Have you done other provincial parks Mt Assiniboine, Mt Robson , Grey wells, Joffre lakes, Squamish, Whistler and areas? Waiting for all those.

Hello Kevin. I enjoyed your video. What month did you visit?
Iceline Trail, Twin Falls & Laughing Falls, Burgess Shale Fossil (guided hike) are highly recommended.
Many thanks for the video。 Could you let me know which of these spots are relatively convenient, say assessible with easy walking less than or around 1km after parking? i hope i can vIsit them this Summer。
Nicely done video! what time of year was this video filmed? Curious to know when's a good time to visit

100%. The Canadian Rockies are very accessible and while there are a ton of hiking trails, there’s so much to see without hiking. I have videos on Jasper and Banff as well! Great road trip to do all of these parks together
@kevin Eassa Hello from Los Cabos, Mexico. How difficult are these trails in the the last week of April? And, which trails would be the easiest for medium experience hikers? We have plans to go on that date. Thanks, your video is amazing!
@KevinEassa
Жыл бұрын
There are a handful of these that require minimal hiking. You’re probably mostly good in the end of April, but I’d recommend bringing Kahtoola Microspikes. Also I have videos on Banff and Jasper national park which includes a ton of other locations in the area that don’t require long hikes! Hope this hella

@@KevinEassa you help me a lot with your comments. Thanks!!
Thank you. Price wise… all these spots are within Yoho? So only the park entrance is required? Just making sure. Thanks!
@KevinEassa
Жыл бұрын
Only the park entrance is required, they're all in the park. If you do Lake O'Hara the shuttle prices are separate, but otherwise, every location is included on the park pass
Hello , Yoho or Jasper , which one do you recommend if I have limited time?
What month was this visit September
@kevin are in these in order … meaning, can one visit these in the order you have explained
@KevinEassa
Жыл бұрын
You can definitely visit these in order, but any order works! Sometimes what we’ll do is Pin these location on our Google Maps, or our Google My Maps and then you can see where they all are in relation to eachother. And that will help!
Which season are these videos from? Like which month are they from?

what is shttle permit? is shuttle run by park where it takes passangers?

The shuttle is solely for Lake O Hara, everything else you can drive to on your own!

We’ve been 4 times, but everything in here was filmed in either July, August, or September!
This is an excellent video and information tool!!! I am planning on going there this year. I have 2 questions I hope you can answer. 1. What is the best time of year from a photo perspective? 2. How feasible and accessible is Lake O'Hara, Emerald Lake, and Tawakka Falls in May? Thanks very much, Jim

In my opinion the best time of year for photography is the second half of September. As you will get fall colors showing beautiful yellow larches, but there will also likely be snow at higher altitudes, making for some beautiful dynamic scenes. Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls are easy to visit year round. Lake O'Hara, I'm not so sure. I hope this helps
Do you think my 80 yr old father could hike Wapta falls?
@KevinEassa
4 күн бұрын
I think so, slow and steady is the way to do it! The majority of the trail is flat and nicely tracked. It isn’t until the last 200ish feet at the viewpoint where there is steep sections. Hiking poles are great too and just watching your footing on that last part
How could you not include the ice line trail?
@KevinEassa
2 жыл бұрын
ahhh it looks amazing but I haven't gotten a chance to do that one sadly. I only want to include places I know very well, have hiked myself, and have footage for
14 mile or 11k tolake o hare. Cause 14mile is a long day hike double that to get out in one day 28mile ????
