Thank you so much for the work, time and effort it must have taken to produce this--I am a lover of the outdoors, and Glacier National Park so far is the most amazing place I have personally visited, but I have not visited any of these parks--I will!! To me I rather fork up the money for nights at Lake O'Hara Lodge. I have to call in July to book nights at Lake O'Hara Lodge for August of 2024. I think 3 nights will be a good 1st time at Lake O'Hara.
Greeting, Great job, very much enjoyed. I am reaching out as I am at the very beginning phases of planing a horse pack trip from Glacier park in Montana to the southern tip of Alaska. Finding the route will probably take longer than the trip. I am reaching out to everyone I think may have some insight and contacts. My friends are asking me to set up a channel to video this whole thing, so if I do, to make it interesting would be to invite local people, first nation, historians etc. that can provide information / history of the area to ride along for a few days and have campfire chats,( if fires are allowed). Challenges to maintaining it etc. Would appreciate any advice or counsel you may have. Who knows, have you ever spent 3 weeks riding a horse from Banff to Jasper? :-) Would be a great video and promotional video for the park...just pondering. Thank you in advance for your time and thank you for the informative videos. Clear skies and safe trails. Greg

Your video is a superb presentation of some of Canada's Rocky Mountain national parks but I'd say you made a common error and missed one of the highlights of the parks in the Rockies....Waterton Lakes National Park in the S.W. corner of Alberta and a partner park with Glacier National Park in Montana. A smaller park, to be sure, but no less scenic and (as it happens) an internationally recognized "Dark Place" nighttime sky viewing.

Good question! Many things actually. Just being there first of all. I spent over 10 years filming most of these shots and the wildlife came on their own terms. However, time of year, location, and time of day are the biggest factors. Get to know your critters. When are they most active? What are they eating at what times of year? So many things. (Isaiah 11:6-9) The wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, And with the young goat the leopard will lie down, And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; And a little boy will lead them. 7 The cow and the bear will feed together, And their young will lie down together.
