I'm so proud to be part of this generation because we can watch so many legends from different sports, here we have Yelena the best female pole vaulter, we have Usain Bolt in sprint running, Roger and Serena in tennis, Lin dan in badminton, Ma Long in table tennis, Phelps in swimming and many other Legends

Nr 4-1 are all Yelena. She made this sport famous. I remembered when she was jumping she always had a unique style of approaching . I'm missing her now. I was mesmerized by her at the Olympics of 2004.
I share my birthday with Yelena Isinbayeva on 3rd of June . She is one of the complete athlete we've had in our generation.True inspiration.

the slow motions were so satisfying.
Even as a Greek (and obviously a big fan of Stefanidi), Yelena Isinbaeva is the greatest pole-vaulter of all-time, and it's not even close. She was a class above everyone else, she was, in a way, the Usain Bolt of women's athletics.

Yelena was aiming to touch the rooftop but the stick was to small so she ended up touching 5.05 mark!
It makes me happy to see them smile as soon as they make it over. :) Must be such a high.

Women pole vaulters very impressive. I , started at 6ft my junior year in high school and reached 14 ft my first year in college but had to quit to raise a family.

Yelena has cleared 5.00, 5.01, 5.03, 5.04, 5.05 (OLYMPIC RECORD) and 5.06 (WORLD RECORD) and is now retired from competition. Sandi Morris has cleared 5.00, and is still active.
