I know right I bought Astros in '09 now 11 years later everyone has MLG headsets or turtle beaches. We literally watched 480p MLGPRO.com before streaming was even a pop culture thing lol.

Pros used to bring their studiograde headphones from Sennheiser, AKG or Beyerdynamic to tournaments. Then Astro comes along as MLG sponsor and everyone jumped on the Astro wagon. Astros were inferior to what was the norm! :(

Hahaha “we have no sound and you guys are still loosing!” Such an awesome moment. That trash talk was well deserved and respectful compared to a lot of things I’ve heard. And the fact they were experiencing tech problems just made the win even that much sweeter.

That play by Neighbor at the end is, in my opinion, the sickest play of H3 MLG. Great video.

God I miss Halo, as I have a PS, I'm unable to play :(, I mean I got COD, Battlefield and Apex Legends but still Halo (especially 2 and 3) will always hold a special place.

This video is awesome. Thank you I really miss halo. Neighbors oddball clutch was the most impressive play I’ve ever seen. To get the ball grab right after the beat down and make the jump takes a lot of skill. I always liked how cool and calm he would be while making crazy plays

Imagine if Bungie never sold Halo, continued polishing Halo 3, and the scene continued being the main competitive video game in the world. It's truly a timeless shooter.

It’s crazy how far competitive Halo 3 has come since MLG. The top players now are on a completely different level, albeit some of them are the same people that have kept playing for another 15 years.

Awesome video concept Freezetyle! Now #8 is actually called an "Instasplode" in H3, plasma grenade launching can be done in H2. A couple of moments I might have added to a list like this include T2's flag beatdown on SK in San Diego '08, Hysteria's Killtac on Narrows in Meadowlands '09, Roy & Lunchbix winning their first event, or even Ambush's comeback victory on The Pit in Orlando '08. You could have also included Str8 Rippon's championship victory in Las Vegas '08 over Instinct, and your #4 clip is from 2010, not 2009. Last one that comes to mind is Ogre 1's sniper triple kill in Guardian Ball against Classic in Meadowlands '08. But hey, great video man; love seeing content like this for hardcore Halo.

There were a couple more epic moments I can think of that aren’t on here. One that comes to mind is when Str8 rippin had an insane ending to an onslaught ctf game where they beat the enemy flag carrier down with their own flag at the end before capping it to secure the win. Was a finals game I think.

Host in h3 was harder to use and gave no benefit. It wasn't like h2 where host made you godly. Most people in H3 preffered off-host on LAN except for a weird few, Naded is the only pro that springs to mind that actually preferred host on LAN in H3. The way the magnetism worked meant that you would get more bullet mag if you were off-host. Nice spotting that Neighbor had host in that 1st play though that's a keen eye you've got. :)

@@joerowland2625 huge difference. I could try to explain it but it’s complicated. There’s a setting though called legacy aiming which is more similar to og h3 but it doesn’t feel right imo.

@host- how many times did you get pown’d by a HampsterManical-reverseforblock, or a Prolaz3 or E or Sliggity23 or Wiggys23 or one of my accounts I played on, you know, when things started crashing and rockets would hover in air, like on sword base with shotty in middle tunnel and rockets on left or right if opposite start , of sword base to far right on mine usually, the one, no one could touch and MSG-got to see The Prolaze but tagged him with mods in comp, cause they suspected he knew Hampster or Manical me, as from Jacksonville and thought I might be chunkier white kid, until he didnt up that senssie to 6 or 7 and three shot bitches with br, why talking noise about his controller sticking- wasn’t I... no competition as alway mod me and Luke Canter or Sliggty different spelling as our account kept getting lost password and had to remake- that what happened to hampstermanical and wigs23- or me, four times, recovered once, but OG hampster account is locked for national security reason of, Rebellion and fuck is good- this MLG- monitor, trying to sneak into sword base and stop my 28 kill run with a plasma that I dodged and whacked hisass, with a pistol punch- on different account of friend- or maybe wtgnumbers after, also blocked shortly afterwards- now games are heavily weighted and shitty, as picked winners with mods always to level field in hopes Stars return as suspected early 30s now, based on play after highschool or early college- you know which maps, I mean

Halo 2 Br with Halo 3 sniper would be the perfect game.
