If you're wondering why Tonnerre 2 Zeus at Parc Astérix did not make the cut, it is because it is a CCI coaster that was redone by the Gravity Group! It certainly has Gravity Group characteristics such as the Timberliner trains and the reprofiled sections, but the majority of the layout is still CCI! Same reason why Ghostrider didn't make the cut in the Top 10 GCI video.

Does anyone else wish Gravity Group did more large scale wooden coasters? Especially considering how fantastic The Voyage is, they could really create something else mindblowing on a bigger scale!

The voyage is not only my fav gravity group coaster but also my number 1 wooden coaster. Such an amazing ride, it just keeps on giving!!!

It’s a crime that Oscar’s Wacky taxi is not on the list! 😂

Ravine Flyer II is running SOOOOO much better since the retracking they did to it last year. I was able to stay in my seat for 12 back row rides in a row during ERT one night in August.

Even their family coasters are so fun and good. They design them so well so they keep their speed till the end and have so much airtime.

My favorite coaster from Gravity Group is The Voyage at Holiday World, followed by Hades 360 at Mt. Olympus, and Kentucky Flyer at Kentucky Kingdom. I really need to ride more of these.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget how bonkers Hades 360 was, especially through the tunnels. We drove from Mt.Olympus to Bay Beach for the Zippin Pippin cred in 2022, no regrets. We did that after seeing your videos of it 😅

I absolutely LOVE seeing Ravine Flyer II getting some needed attention! I grew up in Erie watched Waldameer grow and I'll never forget when this coaster came to the park! :)

Woodies: cheapest to build, easiest to neglect. Glad for the parks that actually take care of theirs!

Every Gravity Group coaster I’ve ridden I’ve liked. I think they’re the only manufacturer that has done that for me. Including my number one coaster.

Crazy to believe that Hades 360 was their first roller coaster. I mean that thing was freaking huge back in 2005 and still insane how for a first coaster they made that.

Although I haven’t ridden a Gravity Group coaster yet, I’ll say they did a great job retracking The Beast and The Racer at Kings Island!

you'll have to come to Ireland so, be interesting to see if Cú Chulainn would make the Top 10. Until the new vekoma STC opens in a few months it's our only rollercoaster worth anything on the whole island so I'm very protective of it!

I'm very surprised Cú hasn't received new trains with an upcharge backwards seat like Leviathan and Zeus. An easy addition that would work with theming- _Ríastrad_ - The Warp Spasm.

@overlookers That'd be great, but I don't think it would work for them. Their operations are already pretty slow so reducing general capacity for the sake of an upcharged seat would make it worse. Also I don't think it would be very popular with anyone but enthusiasts

Voyage rules. I'm fortunate to have grown up with it as Holiday World is my home park. There was so much hype when it came out, and it exceed expectations.

Only have had the chance to ride Boardwalk Bullet, and HOLY COW, it’s one of the best rides ever made, it’s one of the only coasters in my home city and if I could only have two coasters in my city, I’ll take that one any day

The five I've ridden match up with your rankings, and I'm happy I've been on the three best! Voyage is my favorite ride anywhere, and Leviathan is in my top 10.

Voyage is an easy #1 for me. Ravine Flyer II is an easy #2 for me. I haven’t been on leviathan but I came off Ravine Flyer Ii much more impressed than Boardwalk Bullet which I have #3. Hades 360 would be 2 or 3 if they could figure out how to make it smoother. Great layout but brutally rough.

I love a good wooden coaster, so GG is one of my favorite coaster manufacturers. Voyage and RF2 are definitely the best two, at least out of the ones I’ve ridden. Most people seem to agree that Voyage is one of the greatest wooden coasters, and RF2 is one of the most underrated in my opinion. Hades 360 has one of the all-time great layouts but runs terribly because of poor maintenance. (It’s the only one of these four coasters that I’ve only ridden once. I couldn’t take another ride on it because it’s so brutal.) Kentucky Flyer is great for a family coaster.

Man what a surprise with the Voyage making the #1 spot…didn’t see that coming!! 😂 Also, any of the Jungle Trailblazers 😉

Immensely glad to see Leviathan - Sea World Australia made it on your Gravity Group list. The only wooden coaster I've experienced and I'm super glad to have it at one of my home parks. And I'm planning to do it backwards for the first time, next time I visit Sea World!!

It's not just the second best Gravity Group but one of the best wooden coasters in the world! Hope Australia gets more modern woodies, I think a family wooden coaster would be a great fit at Dreamworld.

I got the on ride photo when i was there in december, you can see my jaw is literally on the floor and i was very aware it stayed there the whole ride!!! One of the best experiences ive ever had

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think it's the Timberliners that make their coasters so rough. It also continues to surprise me that so many try to under-state how rough Hades 360 is. Shawn from TPW stated in his vlog that he wouldn't ever ride it again, and I made the same vow.

I think you're right. Those Timberliners don't seem to ride well at all. Even those family woodies are quite rough considering the slower speed. Of the 5 elite Gravity Group woodies in the US, Zippin Pippin included, the 4 that ride the best don't use Timberliners. Hades is an elite layout, but from what I've been hearing, my 2019 rides will be my only rides on it if they don't smooth it out.

I just realized my 100th and 300th coasters were gravity groups. Hades and Boardwalk Bullet

I was at Kemah boardwalk back in July and got 10 or 11 rides on Boardwalk bullet, I thought it was pretty smooth and I really enjoyed it! I think I rode it 4 or 5 times in a row at the end of the night.

Boardwalk Bullet is awesome i lived bout 30 minutes away from there.

I haven’t been on Leviathan, but otherwise, I’d put them this way: 1. Voyage 2. RFII 3. Boardwalk Bullet 4. Hades The first three are absolute favorites of mine.

I got back on Boardwalk Bullet last month, and it's still riding great. Ravine Flyer II felt quite a bit rougher on my rerides in July 2023. Zippin Pippin delivered the whole ride through for me. It was a mostly full train on every ride, so maybe that helped. It's ahead of RFII in my # 4 spot. Hades 360 in 3rd, but if it were smoother, it would move ahead of Boardwalk Bullet, and might even challenge Voyage.

I'd love to see GG come in and redo the road crossing on Ravine Flyer 2 and put a corkscrews in there, one on the way out, one on the way back. 🤔

I was talking with one of the head ride ops at fun Spot Kissimmee. He said that during 2024 they are going to finish the rest of the coaster with RMC track and change the wheels on the trains to work better with the steel apparently that’s why it is super rough because they are still running rollers designed for wood on steel track so they don’t get the benefits of the steel so once they change it all over, it should be super smooth

The Voyage is my favorite roller coaster and I live near Hersheypark. Thats saying something. It just has everything I want in a roller coaster. I think the Gavity Group is the most underrated coaster manufacturer.

Ravine, flyer II is so underrated it's criminal.

Imagine leviathan ran backwards like wooden coasters did back then and the backwards facing seat is pay extra to ride the ride normally😂

I am surprised Voyage and Hades are not neck and neck if Hades was smoother does it have the potential to top Voyage both are long, fast and have airtime. Will be riding both this year for the first time in 2024

A smoother Hades 360 is neck and neck with Voyage for me, but as it is, Hades is far behind Voyage and Boardwalk Bullet.

I couldn't find this on rcdb, but is Coastersaurus at Legoland Fl manufactured and designed by M&V, or is it designed by Gravity Group? I know it has Millennium Flyers by GCI, so it is a hybrid from the three companies?

Gravity Group is absolutely the best wooden coasters manufacturer if RMC doesn't count with their topper tracks. These coasters are so compact and usually have such good pacing. They are way better than GCIs if you want airtime and even tighter turns.

You and Sarah should rank your top 10 flying coasters! Or if you guys disagree on your favs, do your individual lists!

mine blower is in my bottom 2, only beating out montezum. maybe with the 208 its not as bad but like damn, still surprised this made the list and beat out kentucky flyer

I have Mine Blower ranked # 645 out of 645. My last ride in November 2022 was when I swore off it until it gets completely retracked. Montezum looks like it would be terrible too, being an RCCA creation.

They need to retrack voyage again because my rides in August were abysmal. They were my first ever and it overwhelmingly disappointed me. I could see the potential, but I still don't see it competing with top GCIs or El Toro, which was smoother than Voyage the same week. I do want to give it another try, but so far it's been one of my most disappointing coasters

@@marty_nz Yes, I really enjoyed legend! The laterals were great and it felt much smoother. Raven was relatively disappointing as well, but I guess I shouldn't have had very high expectations considering it's tamer than the other two.

I have gotten rough rides on Voyage too. After my June 2021 visit, I went onto Hershey, and was surprised to find Wildcat running far smoother than Voyage. Most people would say that Wildcat was horribly rough, but it was smoother than Voyage. On a later visit, Voyage was running quite smooth.

Yea I'd love to get back to the park and give it another chance. I'd also been told by a local who went the following week that it was the worst he'd ever experienced it, so I'm hoping for better next time I'm able to get out there@@OklahomaCoasterFan
