The WA Wheat Belt is perfect for a cooler weather getaway and when permitted, a camp fire. Fortunately, most people seem to stick to the coast allowing that secluded feeling I go looking for in the bush. The smaller wheat belt communities really appreciate the patronage of visitors to their towns and businesses while most provide well maintained and friendly caravan parks for when you need to shower and plug into power.

I think that is more like a caravan park facility though and not a free site.

Some good camp sites there and good advice too. A few that I would like to check out. I might be looking into the first one in a week and a half

Had to look at your website for the correct spelling of Xantippe. When I stayed out that way last year I was reading the shire newsletter and they were pleading for people to stop stealing the "Struggle st" signs 🤣🤣🤣

Kokerbin Rock near Shackleton, Weowanie Rock north of Yellowdine and a bunch of spots east of Koolyanobbing and north of the rail-line… umm, there’s literally hundreds of great spots like those in this vid. I grew up in Quairading so it was a buzz to it get a few mentions.

My wife is allergic to dogs so campsites that do not allow pets are high on our priorities.
