I mean, depends how you look at the show. How did you expect Bobby to ever win if it wasn’t also about fan and effort etc. a 40 year old will never beat a 20 year old with dancing skills otherwise

I was expecting either Normani or Riker Lynch to be number 1, and I'm glad Normani is at the top of this list, but Riker was never mentioned, and he is the true winner of Season 20 for me.

@@yabishnessa Jordan was great and it was a good win, but Lindsey surpassed him in the final week. She had one of (if not the best) freestyle dances of all time.

When it came to season 27, Juan Pablo was the best so he should’ve won. But since he didn’t make it to the finals, it should’ve been Milo!

@@danielguizar360 better? How so? Kelle had the better freestyle so she deserved to win because of that but she was not better than zendaya. Zendaya had much better technique in both Latin and standard. Her frame and lines were superior to anyone of her season. Kelle was stiff as a board and Derek knew how to dance around her really well and used her flexibility to his advantage.

I wanted Zendaya and Val to win that season so badly, but I think when it came down to it, the freestyle is what lost them the mirrorball. The freestyle that Kellie and Derek did was brilliant and just was extremely innovative choreography, as well as a change of pace from what previous freestyles had been like. I think that season's result goes to show that sometimes the freestyle will cost you the mirrorball.

OMG MYA !!! Why do people forget about her?! SMH. And yes, Normani should've definitely won🏆

LINDSEY WAS SOOOOOO AMAZING ✨ I’m forever proud of everything she accomplished 😭❤️ each week was a new ride with her and Mark’s creative masterpieces

Two who should've been on this list were Gilles Marini and Riker Lynch! Gilles' Argentine Tango is still one of the best done on the show, and Riker's freestyle is still one of the best out there.

I thought that Gilles Marini in Season 8 was very good - he certainly left an impression on the judges - and I would have like to see him win. (He narrowly came in second.)

I was honestly shocked that evanna didn’t win. She is what this show is about. I was ready to see keo get his first mirrorball

I remember the tech glitch. During the show one form of voting was having problems. So said the other way was the only way to vote. I remember thinking the malfunctioning one was the one more of Zendaya's fans would use. So I did feel she was cheated. because she was young.

I agree. I think Derek’s choreo on that last dance of the competition and really throughout was a notch above Val’s. Also like the video says sometimes people with a dance background are “dinged” for perceived advantage when audience votes.

@@donnakubiski5572 That’s okay. Opinions vary 😂. That was a tough season. Derek is so known for bringing new moves to the ballroom or at least new to the audience. I lost count of how many times he and his partners did something for the first time to be soon after copied by all the other pros. Julianne Hough did the same thing. There’s a reason Derek won six times (by the time I stopped watching it which was right about when he left). Derek is quite simply The Man and that counter weight move he came up with in the freestyle with Kelli- I don’t think it’s ever been duplicated. Kelli had been a cheerleader but no formal dance whereas Zendaya being a child of Disney where almost everyone was at least a double threat if not triple (which she is) “hurt” her in the end I think. I’m sure she much prefers her Emmy to the mirror ball though. 😂😂😂

James Hinchcliffe’s freestyle routine was truly memorable. ❤

Professional have the toughest chance of winning the show as it's a popularity contest first and a dance competition second. Hence, why Sabrina, Heather, Zendaya and Normani got robbed.

I think as well that the pros have a major say or pull. Many of the latest seasons (24-30) have had a pro that never won; ie Alan, Artem, Daniella, Sharna, Linds, Emma, & Jenna.

They should all bring them back in a All-Star season

I agree. How was Corbin not named?? Stacy Keibler yes!! Absolutely. Her pro Tony fell apart on the choreography. He let her down big time but she was dancer enough for sure and should have won.

Kyle Massey should’ve won Season 11, but lost to Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing. So yeah, Massey should’ve been on this list.

November 18, 2021 - I am glad to see James Hinchclliff and Sharna Burgess on this list. They definitely SHOULD have won season 23. I suspect it STILL stings for Sharna that THEY did not win. Even though Sharna did win season 27 with Bobby Bones acting like a fool the entire season. Sharna told James HE was the best partner SHE has ever had. In an interview, Sharna said, if there was ever another all-star season, SHE would want James as her partner.. Imagine winning the Mirrorball Trophy with "the best partner" you ever had, all the more special. James and Sharna had AMAZING chemistry.

I honestly believe that what happened to her is one of the reasons they can no longer consistently get a full slate of widely recognized celebrities--especially those who are not actors--to do the show. I think it's a pretty well known thing that the vote counting is steered toward keeping the show interesting (which explains Bobby Bones). Which is fine if you're in the acting biz and go in with the realization that the best performance in auditions doesn't necessarily get cast for the role; the powers that be are looking for an actor/actress to fit their vision. If you're an athlete and used to the meritocracy to where the best performance wins...DWTS isn't the place for you. As for Nastia, she was the primary reason I watched that season because I knew what type of competitor she was and when her partner sprained his ankle or whatever it was...her face was like "Get your _ _ _ up and dance" because that is the world she comes from.

I love that we have multiple people from the same season and the announcer says that each person was the clear front runner. Was it Mel/Cheetah Girl, or Milo/Juan Paublo? 😂

Normoni, Riker, Mel B and Zendaya should have won. You missed Giles when he partnered with Cheryl, one of my favorite couples along with Mel and Max. Normoni was fabulous.

You missed out Riker Lynch, Mya, Stacey Keibler, Mario Lopez, Ricki Lake, Katherine Jenkins. But overall, great top 10.

Years on, I’m still gutted Sadie and Mark didn’t win, she had such a transformation in such a small period of time, plus Mark’s choreography was incredible that season, his Mario dance is still one of my favourites.

What about Shawn Johnson in All Stars? She should’ve had a double win.

Bobby Bones win was the biggest joke of all. Never did learn how to dance. I was happy for Sharna tho. But they still do that. They give them high scores then kick them off. The opera singer should have won her season Katherine Jenkins was her name I think. They thought it was time for a Football player to win again I guess. A terrible dancer. Zendaya should have won also. But Max and Meryl they got right. And to this day, in my opinion they are still the best two of all. I dont see why they dont invite them back again. I know she got married in France, but do they live there. Havent seen anything about them here in the US? Would love to see them dance together again. If not Max, then Val. That dance they did in the swap was amazing. I think they got a 39 out of 40. When she did the same dance with Max they got a 40. I can still get all of their dances on my tablet, and Im still watching them to this day. Their season, 18, was my favorite season of all.

Katherine Jenkins deserved to win her season over most of the people on this list and Shawn Johnson deserved the all star season

Literally any of the other finalists in Season 27 should have won. Bobby Bones was the only one in the finals that didn't deserve to win.

That was the flaw with this show. The quality of the choreographies and the judges commentary didn't even matter. A celeb could be amazing but if they didn't have the fanbase watching, they would get eliminated.

In my personal opinion, no hate at all, Milo not winning was literally such a joke. Loosing to BOBBY literally WHAT!

This whole video I kept waiting for Riker. I still feel that loss, even more than Milo, and that one stung a lot!

Riker is my favorite contestant just in general but he definitely should have won season 20. Season 20 was the first season where I actually voted for anyone. My dad thinks it was rigged because Riker wouldn’t have been able to go on tour with Dancing with the Stars because he was going on his own tour at the same time (I don’t know if the champions usually go on tour or if sometimes they don’t but I’d believe it if prior to that season the champion always went on tour).

It helps when Val's partner not only was a great dancer in her own right but especially being the daughter of Bruce Willis Ryker didn't really stand a chance to win

I think Simone lost cause Laurie Hernandez (a gymnast who was in the same Olympics as Simone) won the prior season and was basically the better Simone in terms of dancing

How do you make this list and NOT include Shawn & Derek? They literally CHANGED the show and reinvented the way choreography was done on the show. Show Stopping performances week after week. Their impact shouldn’t go unnoticed. 3 Emmy Nominated Performances and still LOST.
