My tour dynamx is quickly becoming my favorite ball. When it works, it just works, and i love the asym over the iq tour to be able to shape more with it

@@lamarmoore7117 so i play at a fairly high oil, low friction alley. For me, I've played it at start of leagues, and through the first few games (~3, high oil) It also works on HEAVY carrydown, where my purple hammer shapes too much, or too flat I love its shape, and the pin carry on it is insane

Thanks for the content Luis. Great list. I own the Xponent and the !Q Ruby. Been successful with them. I have an Eternity Pi on deck and will pursue the Sublime as well.

I loved how you did current shots with your top 3 balls. It was a nice touch at the end. My favorite ball of the year for me was the iq ruby. Its so clean through the fronts, very controllable, and surprisingly strong backend.

Outside of the Xponent, my list is similar to yours in your top 5. Haven't thrown the Xponent a whole lot yet. But Magic Gem/Journey/Vebo have been great!

New subscriber here. Thanks for the list. I am a little sad the Absolute was so low. lol. I can use it all night in league. Very versatile. Tour Ruby is the next ball I am getting. I am just starting up again after about a 7 year hiatus. Thanks again for this. I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos.

Xponent is also my favorite ball of the year. As a lefty being able to have a control piece that i can play in my sweet spot (12-15) and also move in with a hand adjustment and still get it to come around the corner is definitely a chefs kiss. I would 1000% recommend this ball.

My top 5 2023 balls? These are based on balls I've thrown this year. 1) Eternity PI 2) XPonent 3) Zen Gold Label 4) Revenant (mainly cause it's been my tough shot ball) 5) Hustle RIP (low end ball but versatile) Was hard to keep the Ruby out of this list but I've thrown it less then the RIP so far. If I was able to throw the Sublime it may have made my top 5. Not sure when I'll be able to pick one up. Kinda busy time of year for me.

Good list. I will add the Magic Gem arsenal. Xponent good ball and getting the Journey. Was surprised by the Revenant but realized it has been replaced by the Xponent. I really need to get my Ruby drilled.

I picked up the Duo and Hustle M-M... my high games are 277 and 289 respectively. The oil can evaporate quickly in the houses I bowl at in NJ, so the weaker pearl pieces are useful.

Absolute Power and Summit Peak are coming out mid-January 2024

My Xponent is sooooo situational, whether it be the house I bowl at, or the lane condition, or anything else. But when it works, it WORKS. I have an undrilled Vebo and Journey that I cannot wait to bring to the shop. The only problem I have with the list is that the Absolute is so low. Favorite Assym Hybrid to date. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say.

I want the sublime, I am waiting on a summit to see if they release a solid version. A little surprised by the xponent. I haven’t heard much about but I’ll do some research and try to check one out

I just got my Xponent last night. Never thrown it before, shot a 681 series... was able to play a part of the lane no one else was and just sit there all night long.

Wow. Tour Dynam-X is my favorite ball. It helped me bowl my first 600 series. It’s so controllable and hooks just enough for me. Really surprised it’s at the near bottom.

Hey Luis I need some ball advice. I currently have a Hy-Road drilled to max hook potential and a summit drilled smooth on the backend. The last slot I need to fill in my bag is a true solid ball that is a hook monster and picks up early in the lane. The only recommendations I’ve gotten is to either get a Phaze II or an Eternity Pi. What do you think?

Great video. I was surprised by the lowness of the tour dynamic x as that is my first ball out of bag. I was positive the xponet was going to be number one. I have the iq ruby now but had it drilled weak so may have it plugged and redrill it stronger. Also have the absolute as my three balls for league but usually only throw the tour and the absolute. Low rev low speed 75 year old bowler and if I was to replace the tour what would be your recommendation on wooden lanes. I have ales enjoyed your videos and enjoy watching them and also watching you guys on league

Luis! I'm just getting back into bowling from about a 10 year hiatus. Are the Eternity and Zen Gold Label too similar for those to be my 2 balls to get back into the game?

Of the balls I’ve purchased that released this year: 1. Hustle RIP 2. Eternity 3. XPonent 4. Revenant Unfortunately as a mid speed rev dominant two hander, symmetrical balls with differential over 0.040 don’t work very well for me on most conditions. I need to start drilling my equipment with longer pin to pap and lower pin to cog to lower the diff and flare. College tournaments definitely showed me that and is the reason why my next ball will be a tropical surge

good place for the TNT. . lot's of guys hated that ball. some people I know only threw it once, didn't like it so much they just junked it.

I have 2 of the top 4. VEBO and Xponent.

You mentioned that maybe the drilling on the Tour Dy X might have been correct…..what did you drill at and if you were to try another what would that one be? I’m getting one and thinking a stronger layout.

Great summary of 2023 new releases. One question about the Journey - how would you rank it compared to the original Zen? One of these two balls is likely to be the next in bag for when I need to get left. Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

Thanks! So the Journey will be longer and more angular while the Zen will be a little earlier and smoother when compared

I didn’t try Xponent but I did just throw Sublime in league for the first time and wow it’s great! May need to circle back and try Xponent

I have 3 of your top 5 (Xponent, Vebo, and Ruby). Only thing I truly disagree with is the Revenant. I absolutely love that ball. All in all though great video!

I have been struggling with my tour Dynamic trying to give it to much hook. I finally tried to go straighter and I just shot a 690 with it. So I think I’m winning. But I’m 68 and went down to a 14 pound ball and I am able to get more speed. You are young and bigger are you using a 16 pound balls or do you try other weights of balls?

Sublime got short-changed! So good. So much forgiveness. So much power at the pins

nice work on this one, sadly never threw any of those this year.

I like the Summit, have been using it on league. Just purchased a Sublime this past weekend. Cant wait to get it drilled

If I had my heart broken twice like that one 7 pins I think I would throw the ball away. Good on your for making it number 1.

Two best bowling balls I like that came out in 2023 are Storm Ruby and Motiv Jackel Ambush.

Just got my Christmas from my wife and she got me a Storm Journey which I'm excited for and before too long I plan on getting a sublime also

What do you think of the UFO Alert from Rotogrip? I’ve been thinking of buying one on sale to used as an early ball in my bag.

I bought the Xponent as my second ball totally on my own, surprised to see it take the #1 spot, since not a lot of pros use it :( but I guess my gut feeling was on point again. I am still trying to get to 200 avg. though.

The reason you dont see a lot of Pro's use it, is because it fits the "same" spot as the Summit and Phase II. With the Xponent being the weakest of the 3. I personally think for most league bowlers and lower rev players in general, the Xponent is the better option of the 3 while the Phase II will almost always be the more versatile.

I've heard great things about the Sublime. I'll be curious to see how the Summit Peak compares. The numbers seem similar, but I don't know enough about the differences in the cover. Summit Peak might fly under the radar as well, especially if it becomes a "poor man's Sublime." I really enjoy my Summit. I've been averaging around 220 over the last few weeks of league. I constantly have people asking me about it. Like you said, maybe poor release date caused it to fly under the radar. Either way, I might grab another one for a rainy day, especially if Storm decides to discontinue it.

I never heard of most of these balls I thought for sure the summit because it’s very similar to the phase ii

Tilt , Rev rate and ball speed all make a huge difference in how each of these balls react. For me the Journey and Revenant are great balls and pick up at the right spot down lane and roll through the pins. Both are used on different conditions. As for the Xponent and Tour Dynamx , both of these balls pick up at the right spot but stand up and go forward. I hate both of them.

Solid top 5 list...but I was a little meh off the tour and revenant...its personally one of Stu Williams favorite and most versatile balls.... but every bowler has their style and preference...I wish the Sublime would have made it this year because it wouldn't jumbled the list up...looking forward to your league stream tonight

Enjoyed the vlog!! Wished I had the opportunity to test all 22 balls---. However, I did purchase 4 new balls this year. I rank them in the order in how much I have use them with success. 1. Reality (I know it is not really a new ball--but it is my goat ball and buy an new one each year). 2. Eternity Pi ( Often the Reality is already toast by the second game. The Eternity Pi has really been the best ball for me in the early transition). 3. Xponent ( I really like the smoothness of this ball. However, I am often uncertain when best to use it). 4. Eternity The Eternity was my early transition ball before the Eternity Pi was released. Now I only use it when the lanes are pretty toasty. I will likely purchase one more ball before Jan 2024. It will be either the Gold Label Zen or the Sublime. I am leaning towards the Gold label just because it will be very different in back end reaction than any ball I currently own. I really liked the Phaze 4 before it was banned--hoping the Gold label will be the Phaze 4 replacement for me.

So I’ve loved my summit(yes the gold could be a different color) but I’ve loved mine. Also I have the normal gem and I’ve loved it but trying to think if the magic gem would be worth the upgrade from the gem

I bought the Xponent to replace my P2 (sorry Luis, I’m one of the few that don’t like the P2) I shot 278 out of the box with the Xponent. I also have the Zen GL (I’d rank it higher, but for me I have to have some friction down lane to throw it) it’s a later in league our later tournament block ball. I have the Pi and it’s my first ball on the fresh for me, great ball. I replaced my Dark Code with a different brand as SPI didn’t have anything that matched…maybe the VEBO was close. Love the rankings Luis.

I have a RG Clone and 900 Xponent. I throw yhe clone a lot more, I just haven't really connected with the Xponent. I bought the Xponent on a recommendation from Stu Williams and I threw it a lot at first but it just wasn't working for me. The clone is mu go yo transition ball right now after my super nova. I need to give the Xponent another try. Definitely want to get a Sublime and probably a Summit Peak or Absolute Poeer.

TnT being bottom is no surprise. I think the xponent is going to get slept in due to the number of balls in the spi in the that range. Sublime looks great, but I’m waiting for the summit peak, that ball looks to pretty.

Interesting that your bottom 2 on the list are on the bottom. But they might be better for sports shots. TNT won a big women's regional on a short pattern, winner stayed in it the entire time. And the tour dynamix is loved by 2 handers, if it's not hooking for you try it on wolf, viper, or cheetah and it will hook and control the pocket. Getting VEBO next month, can't wait to try it.

I’m glad to see some people liked the tour dynamx but it’s 1 of the worst balls I’ve ever thrown and I have not met anyone so far that likes it. I had hi hopes for it. Great video and as always enjoyed the content
