I've been looking forward to this! I know they're still newish, but I'm surprised that 5-60 and 5-80 aren't seeing as much use as I expected. DranSword is a fan favorite, but I'm happy WizardArrow is still holding on. Orb definitely needs more representation, but it's definitely showing promise. Great work yet again

Phoenix Wing 5-60 P is a great combo. I'm loving it so far. I might try Orb or Ball on it though when I get the bits.

can we get a video on how to make a own-unique combo? is there a middleground combo between aggressiv and conservativ? Like how do I now which part of the beyblade makes it agreesiv or defensiv and so on... and where do I get these custom components from - I only found pre builts with wrong taper and ratchet

wizzardarrow 3/480 t seems wiered but is op

its interesting to see so much 4-sided ratchets on this list considering what i've seen about them on WBO. There's a lot of tests concluding that they burst much easier and have worse spin duration on average than 3-sided and 5-sided ratchets. ive got a bunch of the parts in question being shipping right now so im excited to run some tests for myself 😊

For me, Ratchet has the least effect among the 3 parts and can easily be replaced when making a 3on3 lineup.

This is awesome! I love it when stats are used in places you don’t usually see them! I just have two questions: 1. How can we access the spreadsheet? 2. How did you get the equation for EPR? Would it not be better to multiple Win Rate x Point/Win to get Point Rate?

Glad you like it! To answer your questions: 1. Spreadsheet is not accessible at the moment. 2. Directly multiplying it will make it skewed especially if sample size is small, that's what I did on my first video. There will always be a new combo with a few sample size so I changed it and add them up now and took into consideration what a good WR(60%) and PPW(2pts). A really good combo will have an EPR of 66+36 = 102. EPR of 90+ should be typically where the good combos will be.

No love for Vipertail 5-60 Rush? Btw love the slow-motion clips in the outro! Keep it up!

You can use a shorter Ratchet like 4-60 or 5-60. High Needle and Orb is also a good option for Bits.

Next update for sure! It's becoming really popular.

Considering that ratchets do not make a huge difference in performance and people will often use the same combo with a different ratchet in order to make sure 3 different ratchets are used on a team, would it not be wise to list combos based on Blade and Bit combinations? That way each combo would have a greater magnitude of data to work with. You can also account for any difference in performance of ratchets by adding a “ratchet value” to the EPR, which takes the ratchet’s overall win rate and the % of use of each ratchet into account. For example: Ratchet Value = Σ (Win Rate of ratchet * Use Rate of ratchet on combo * 10) for all given ratchets Example assuming equal win rate and use rate for all 8 currently available ratchets: (0.5*0.125*10) * 8 = 5 Although it’s not exactly perfect, there is value in defining combos as a blade and bit combination since it makes the sheets a little simpler and in part makes up for the smaller amount of data on some specific combos

Actually I retract my statement about the ratchet value thing, it doesn’t really do anything. Instead, adding a value that somehow rewards combos that only are effective on a certain ratchet (so they are less hindered by the coupling of the other ratchet data) would be best. For this reason I propose a new Ratchet Value: (WR of highest Combo on best Ratchet - Average WR of combo) * 75 Let’s say that a combo is very reliant on the use of 5-60 and gets a WR of 60% on it, but on average the WR is 40%. Then the ratchet value would be (0.6-0.4) * 75, which is 15. This can be tuned further.

Even better, I realized that the way you do WR is automatically assuming a 100x multiplier, so instead just make it (Best Ratchet WR - WR) = RV And add this to the EPR calculation: (RV*0.75) This still emphasizes the average performance of the combo given that the larger data set is better, but gives a decent enough reward to combos with a significant difference in performance based on it’s ratchet

Eventually, Ratchets will be less significant as more parts are released. It was harder to make 3on3 lineups in the first few months of BeybladeX, now you can make 2 efficient combos with 3-60 and 9-60. And then there will be 3-70 and 1-60 that will be another option when UX series is released. We'll see in the future how parts release will affect how I present my data. I will surely adapt based on what Takara Tomy releases.

Yes please make a vid about launch type my SharkEdge 3-60 LF is too fast hitting the xtreem dash while my opponent with Ball bit is still on the safe spot avoiding my attack. i tried to tilt it to delay hitting the xtreeme line but its still 50;50 change

Hi, I kinda came back after a few weeks because I got a doubt about the epr you use to rate combos, if you were to put tier in blades with that score how would it work? I notice that, in theoretical scenario, if beyblade wins 1% of the time it will still have a score 19.1 in epd because it impossible for ppw to be lower that 1, a score of zero epr would only be possible is blade never wins a single game, so going back to the question what epr woul be bareminum for a combo be work including in a deck set how how would that score translated to tier list based on letters (S, A, B, ect)

Tier list grades parts while my EPR grades specific combos and it will vary depending on the meta. For example, the KnightShield 3-80B combo went up this update due to a lot of players using atk types. KnightShield will be lower in tier lists so it's hard to relate it with EPR. Also, tier lists are usually subjective while my EPR is more objective since it is based on gathered data. They are 2 different ways to review combos/parts. I would say that combos with 90+ EPR are currently good in the meta while are the 2nd tier of combos. Every 3weeks, Takara Tomy releases a lot of new parts so the meta will be varying and will take time to normalize that's why I am showing the number of battles that were gathered. The more battles it has, the more consistent is its stats.

Okay thanks, I only don't aggre with that tier are subjetive because of my experience in other games like CCGs. If they based on date they are a reflection of the game.

I use KnightLance 3-80 Ball, I launch it sideways, and it wins all the X tournaments I go to. I named it Iron Treads. How good is it actually?

what is stock combo? I'm a beginner who is just interested in this game, I'm confused about which Beyblade X series to buy because there are so many choices (bx 1, bx 2, bx 3 etc) can you give advice?

Stock combo is the original combo when you bought them like bx1, Bx2, etc. or the combos used in the anime. When you decided to join tournaments, you will mostly customize combos or mix & match the parts. If you are a casual player, just buy whichever you like. If you are a competitive player or planning on joining tournaments, start with 3on3 deck sets so that you will more parts to work on then use this video as a guide to what combos to make.

I see no orb on combo list. I think it's good alternative for ball Looking forward for updated list with cobalt drake and phoenix wing 🙂

Most of the Orb combos did not meet the minimum 30 battles that's why you don't see them in the list. But so far, here is a list of Orb combos that are doing well: CobaltDrake 4-60 HellsChain 5-80 HellsScythe 3-60 / 4-60 KnightShield 5-80

A question about the wizard arrow balde: the contat point are the arrow shaped or the the extremities of the "bows" that normally get worn down or even dent in? I sure hopes it the arrow tips. And also, I heard that wizard arrow blade improves the more worn down it gets, is that true?

The bows are the contact points. It is ideal to use a fresh new WizardArrow as attack, then use it as stamina/defense when it's worn down.

The excel file is not in public because I don't want anybody else to make a content out of it. My next top10 is actually combos to watch out in 2024. They have the potential to be good but does not have enough battles yet.

We only allow Takara Tomy BeybladeX in tournaments, fakes are not allowed. But given the recent announcement, Hasbro will release theirs in the summer and they are claiming that they are produced exactly the same as Takara Tomy.

This is best combos of 2023, PhoenixWing was just released by the end of December. Not much data yet. Perhaps this 2024 or in the next update, it will be on the list.

That's basically the identity of my channel and hopefully others won't steal my idea. 😆 Takara Tomy has released a lot of new products recently so not all of them got to be played that much.

Your top 2 might come out on the next update. PhoenixWing and HT are fairly new but I think they will have enough battles in the next update if they become popular.
