Tbh I kinda like the mission winnow logo, even in that line green. Don't get me wrong, it's weird to have that color on a Ferrari, and it'd probably be bad if it had more prominence, but idk...when I look at that year's car/livery I just don't hate it, and in fact kinda dig it.

One of my favourites of the era was the Brabham BMW, the navy and white just go well together. Also an underrated livery would be the green and white Ram Hart from 1985

As a Brazilian viewer I love when you guys do like "Ayrton Senna, ever heard of him?" feels right, the man is a Brazilian hero, thanks for the respect you guys give him (by you guys I mean motorsport scene)

Very good list, nice to see the 1987 Minardi, a personal favourite of mine. I would've also included Bellof's Tyrrell and potentially Senna's Toleman. Two backmarkers that starred at Monaco 1984, coincidentally

The JPS is my favorite, because every single time I see those colors I think F1, Lotus and speed. Perfection.

Some of my favourites : Fittipaldi F8 (1980) in its yellow skol livery, the stunning Renault RE30 (1981), Arrows A5 in the striking Ragno colours (1982), the iconic Adrian Newey designed March 881 (1988), the lovely but short-lived Onyx from 1989...

I love the Goodyear tires on these cars. My personal fave is the Lotus 99T, that Camel branding is so good.

Gotta respect the JPS Lotus, but I’m biased cos my dad’s mate has an old transporter that the team used to use back in the day, he whips it out for events and car meets because duh it’s gorgeous 😏

Tommo, great line up! I personally would have added the ATS, compared to the Minardi, the ATS Yellow was just amazing. Also thoughts on the Parmalat livery? But my all times favs are the Alfa/Benetton and Renault livery of that decade!

There's a benetton from the 80's with a mad looking rear wing that's number 1 for me, also nostalgia would have me firing in the MP4/4 coz I'm basic, but great list with some absolute shouts that I wouldn't have thought about, like the Zakspeed good call mate.

Love it. The Lotus 101 is really nice, but as a Brazilian, I have to put the 99T driven by Senna in god tier. Just love the simplicity and bold design of the yellow with blue details. Nice list...however, I kinda missed the TG184 Toleman. Cheers :)

Brabham BT 52 1983 end season. Reversing the coulours was just an awesome move for an awesome rocket/arrow/car.

I hope you do a list for the 1960's. The cars from back then were some of the most elegant and simplistic.

Finally a return of this series! I know this is all subjective, but the BT49 is one of the most beautiful cars from the '80s for me. Personally, I'd have that as #1 and it'd high up on my all-time best looking F1 car. That's just me though. Although, I was surprised the Tyrrell 018 with the camel livery didn't get a feature when you put the 101 first. Those two looked absolutely fire when they were fighting on track! Watching the Sauber and Renault race each other in 2016 always reminded me of these 2. Surprised there's no Ferrari's up there either, I'm sure that'll annoy a fair few people here, the 312s and 640 were definitely stunners, but in between, there was certainly a lot of ugly and slow ones.

I'd have to go Benetton B186. Love the multi-color engine cover on that.

My money was on the JPS Lotus for number 1. Although I was surprised there was no Ferrari 640 (1989) on there as the spiritual successor to the GOAT looks of the 641 and 642 cars. The racing record of that car and it's unreliability was nuts (9 podiums, no other finishes)!

I don t understand how you missed one of the iconic Brabham. They were so proud of their livery at the time, that they only changed some minor things year after year. Always the same colours, navy blue and white. Quite simple, but these colours match beautifully. The number of the car is just big, but I like it as well - it s just cool to identify quickly who is at the steering wheel when you watch a race. The one I prefer is the BT55 because of its extra low profile

To make Tommo happy, paint completely with any one colour, and stick a handful of logos on it.

YES

Minardis original colors are a very dark blue (midnight blue) and yellow, it's also and probably best visible in the traditional logo with the faenza lion. Of course on most pictures that blue looks like black.

Just a side note: Bernd Schneider's F1 helmet looks awesome
