As an adult being born in the late 80s and grew up in the 90s and watched this show, I never knew that this show had a lot of adult jokes. Seeing this now, I totally get it.

See, I remember that and then during the movie he runs out in full army gear, and even in another episode there's a flashback to an army camp training when he's in his 20s. I knew he was in WWII (not that I knew what WWII was at 4 but I knew my grandpa fought in a big war and they were almost literally the same age. I remember turning to my mom going "maybe he knows grandpa!!!!" I swear Lou Pickles could have been my grandpa because they had the same hairline and acted the same way with the babysitting where he falls asleep in the chair all the time.

There's an adult joke that everyone seems to forget about in the episode Chuckie's Rocket where the babies think that they're in outer space and when Stu tries to get Chuckie out of the trailer, he bites him on the finger. Later on, when they're all back in the play pen, Chuckie looks at Tommy and says, "are you sure your daddy wasn't mad that I bit him? I never heard Those words before..."

I really Lost Control of My Life when I didn't see the Chocolate Pudding Part

Lol the episode when tommy is an exhibitionist isn’t necessarily taboo …. Babies and toddlers actually do start to get curious around that age, and tommy having a natural curiosity on “How does she potty?” Is completely innocent.

It's amazing to see that, while not as violent as Rocko's Modern Life or Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats managed to get away with a lot of these adults jokes, especially the Fatal Attraction reference.

I can still remember a rugrats episode that was implying pedophilia where the babies were screaming “he’s going to give us the business” over and over. And this old person was chasing them around.

What about in "Chuckie vs The Potty" when Chuckie mentions, "It's the worst thing that's ever happened to me since my mom put me on the bottle!" meaning to be a breast feeding joke?

Anyone remember the episode with the gerbils getting loose, and days later, "the basement floor is moving". It's the one where spike ran away

The trick to gerbils is don't get a male and female just get two males and you won't have that problem if they get loose!

I never really gave too much thought into Chaz and the crossword puzzle. Throughout the series of being a widowed dad, he really does say some dirty things. What about the one with the tomato that he mentions? 😂😂😂

oh my, haven't watch the rugrats since I was a kid, had no idea about this 😂, gotta rewatch this now that im a adult, the 90's were awesome, a lot could go under the radar 😛

I'm a little surprised that you didn't mention "Dr. Lipschitz," but then, I was pretty sure I knew what they were implying with that name when I was 10, so I guess it doesn't quite belong on a list of jokes we "missed."

LOL! I caught onto that one pretty quick! However, I was one of those overly swear-conscious kids who didn't mind others swearing, but never wanted to myself, so I never said the name aloud.

Another joke with Chaz on the phone doing the crossword puzzle - he asks the answer for 1 down, which is the synonym for “stupid”.

Though it may not have been worthy of a top 10 spot, I think you should've included the episode when Stu thought he was a baby and in the process of getting his memory back, included the moment when Tommy said "Take this newspaper, go into the bathroom and don't come out until practically forever." As an honorable mention.
