I bought the RTS a couple of seasons ago, and I am not going back to the struggle again, ever. Another great thing about it is if you get caught in a 330, just grab your RTS and operate it with your free hand. I keep mine tethered to me when I am working with coni's away from the truck. I love your take on the macho men setting 330's by hand.

Jerimiah, you really should check out Trapper Ron`s Safety Setter. I know you have briefly mentioned it in your article on trap setters on your website : Trapping Today back in January 2022 There is one for 280 and 330 size and one for 220 and lower sizes. Very compact, I have both and carry them in my pocket whenever I am working with Body Grip traps. Trapper Ron has a video showing the different ways to use it, and all I know is I will never be without it in my pocket when trapping Beaver, and Otter. They work without a problem on Belisle. They probably will work on Savage (Sauvageau LPDQ) traps, but not many people in the United States have these Rolls Royce of body grip traps because of their expense. They are certainly worth every penny of it too. Thank you for all of the wonderful educational videos you have provided over the years and also be careful out on the line.

So with the RTS setters I'm wondering why $20 pair of heavy duty Dewalt clamps wouldn't work same concept and operation? Just a thought might have to try her out thank you for the video sir, I find you to be a very knowledgeable person and have learned tons from your channel thank you so much for everything you do

Why is the trigger so loose on that new trap. Get a wooden broom handle and use it to set it off. By the mark on the wood you will know how hard it hits. Like the belisle 160 almost break a broom handle

@@chadcampbell9279 for sure, you get what you pay for. Belisles are an outstanding trap!

You might be a Fire Marshal, but if you play with fire long enough you will get burnt. If you're an electrician you will get shocked at some point. You might get by for a time but that just causes you to get careless.

I fail to understand why you think its unsafe to set by hand. Each to their own i guess

I take it you've never been bit by a conibear. I have and it hurts like hell. And that was just a 160. I was lucky not get get a broken hand.
