That’s crazy about that weasel, I guess he should’ve picked a better spot to stand that morning. I wonder if carrying a canteen with water on your hip would help free up that weasel stuck to that box out on the line, as opposed to bringing the box back or destroying the fur. Sadly I'm sure it'll go away soon.... The same restrictions you have for your trapping (use of cubbies/boxes) is just north of me in the Lynx zone. Sure it won't be long that one gets caught and then we'll lose all snaring and exposed conibear sets

Last year i asked this same question - how about setting 2 traps at a stop. If you find a worthy location, please give it a try. Best wishes! 40:49

How many Martin are you able to catch in Maine? By any chance do you know the annual harvest for fisher and Martin in Maine. Reason I’m asking is I’m in MN. We can only get 2. Of any combination of fisher and Martin

25 marten, 25 fisher in maine. The harvest fluctuates widely from year to year. Going off memory, I think it's usually in the high hundreds to low thousands for each species

How do you know when they ( the traps ) are fired off from so far away? I have always thought that when watching ya lol

I have good eyes lol! Actually I get close enough to see the springs. Oftentimes once I see that I go back to the truck and get the camera. Hey thanks for the order on the store Todd!
