Thank you, Brian, for the updated information. It will help me prepare for the installation when I receive the unit. I realize that your unit is 220v and my DC is a 110v unit with a 20amp 2hp motor which has been my problem since doing research. PCI says the Long Ranger III is good "up to 1 1/2 hp" and my DC is on a dedicated 110v 20 amp line. So, for the record and your viewers, I called Bob at Penn State and he said I should have no problem with the 110v unit running on a 20amp line and have seen many comments from others who also have a 110v, 2hp DC running on the Long Ranger III 110v and they are all pleased with this unit. Thanks again for the follow up!

Hey Brian, I can’t seem to get anyone to respond to what the plug looks like on the 220 unit. I want to know it will go into my outlet. Any chance you can share a pick of the plug sir?

Michael - Not sure I have the 120V unit. There are a few standards for 220 though, but very typically in north america it's the 3 prong but the split phases are rotated so the blades are flat or one is rotated (google NEMA 6-15 or NEMA 6-20). If you're experienced/capable and if it doesn't fit your outlet you can always change the outlet or buy the male plug end you need at home depot/lowes and cut the end off your power cord and install it. They sell them in the electrical aisle, easy screw terminals and strain relief, cable strippers and a screw driver and you can get it to work for which ever plug you have.

It would have been more helpful if Brian had shown the back of the receiver unit and how it needs to be installed to the wall. Does it come with a bracket or do you have to buy one? What kind of bracket? A keyhole? A clip? Velcro? It's a nice plug for the unit (I just purchased one and have not received it yet) and its benefits, but nothing more. Sorry Brian.

Brad, It just screws to the wall with two screws on the flange plate that is built into the unit. There's nothing to it. Either you put in drywall anchors or hit a stud or blocking. I choose to use metal drywall anchors for greater durability. This is not a plug for the Longranger, I'm in no way affiliated with them, I only provide honest unbiased reviews. None the less it's a fantastic product and you will love it.

Does your DC have a magnetic switch?

No, it's a maintained paddle switch, but the remote is. If it loses power it won't come back on until the relay is reenergized.

Thanks. So I guess I will need to replace or bypass the magnetic switch on my DC before I can use the remote switch.

Michael Gregory yes, just a regular maintained switch with sufficient contact ratings to cover the motor load and you will be set.
