Tool Review - Harbor Freight Hercules 8in Bench Grinder

NOT SPONSERED OR AFFILITATED WITH/BY HARBOR FREIGHT.
The assembly instructions could be better but other than that it is a solid. It doesn't bog down like some of the other grinders I have used in the past, the light is decent and everything feels really good and not clunky.
It was a little hard to get a hold of in store and was not available online during the time of filming.

Almost 2 minutes to come to a stop, those bearings are insanely nice

They are super nice. Time will tell how well they hold up but so far through basic use and some abuse testing I have yet to see any slow down in the wheels or balance issues.

After I turned mine off, the two wheels kept rotating for two minutes and fifteen seconds. I had it turned on at its maximum speed (3,400 r.p.m.). This was right after I bought it, and ran it for the first or maybe second time.

Looks like you didn't dress the wheels which could be the reason you are getting a bit of vibration and the spark when you shut off.

had been using this bench grinder for about two weeks. The motor gets hot really fast. Home use ok. Not for commercial use.

I wonder if it would help to start running it at a slow speed as soon as it's turned on, and try sometime afterward while it's still running to adjust it to a higher speed, if a higher speed is desired. There's one video I recently saw on KZread, that claims that it also helps to start rotating the wheels with one finger in the direction that they rotate, before turning the bench grinder on, but I don't know if this will harm the bench grinder in some way. Be sure to pull all of your finger(s) back, before turning the grinder on, if you do this.

Yes I know I used the incorrect grammar in the video. I wasn't going to reshoot the whole thing because I said rough and not course. Kind of like forgetting to use a period at the end of a sentence.
