Here’s a clone cover of Lateralus for the Tool fans, dedicated to my uncle who showed me Tool as a kid. Can't get out and play live shows these quarantine days, so this was a project I took on. Rehearsed and planned for about two months till I had everything reliably on lock, lots of technical trial and error to get the "vibe" and tones set, all parts were recorded in one take and captured simultaneously with the videos. Every sound in this video was 100% recreated from scratch for this cover. No sounds/samples were taken or used from the original song or elsewhere. I had to buy some gear beforehand such as the bass whammy and a certain mic I needed for the hi hat, I even tried to rent a gong for the ending part Danny does from a place called Gongs Unlimited in Nebraska. After calling them and getting the dimensions, it was physically impossible to fit behind the kit, as this drum setup was already tight and I’m always pressed for image frame space while shooting these clone vids. Also I used a kick drum with a single head for the intro buildup part. It had that “cardboardy” sub frequency sound I was looking for. I added double-tracked guitars and double tracked vocals after the fact, all in the same spots that are done on the original song. I put more of a personal twist on the vox for this one and just had fun with it. No tabs were used so some things may be played differently from an “official” standpoint. If you want to know more technicals about the production, send me an email on my channel info page. Despite some extremely frustrating moments along the way, in the end I had a badass time doing this cover. Peace
**I DO NOT IN ANY WAY claim the rights to this song, and thanks to Tool for being the timeless, revolutionary, and genius band they are.

My original music, Dimphonic! kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZaayZRtlNa6Y5c.htmlsi=BvUegCbpFjqYUOIq Guys I really apologize for the ads popping up mid video. Just to say, I am not making any money from this video. It got instantly copyright claimed and demonetized and all ad revenue is going to the copyright owner. I am going to try to work out some type of revenue sharing just for the fact of being able to control mid video ads. As a music channel I never put ads mid video, it ruins the listening experience.

Omg!! How I caught your last clone cover of Stinkfist, it just came into my feed one day.. I watched it and it literally blew me away! I immediately shared it on my timeline... Got mad response. Honestly I don't think, "including me" anyone had ever seen anything like this? Oh you're on to something... Plus love your attitude towards your approach with music... So you posted this new clone cover and had a link to your original band, Dimphonic... I click on it, low n behold the title to the track is "Nur5e"... Hahaha. This band that I play in here in Seattle is called?... kzread.info/dash/bejne/fZuJpNZmd9q5dsY.html... nurseratchett.com/ Love what you do!!

The bass hits the first 4 notes out of ten. The hi hat opens on 1 and 3 and then 6 and 8 on a count of ten. Snare on 9 and hi hat hand is constant. That's my understanding of the part anyway
