You missed greatness. Tool were on fire between 1990 and 2002. The main thing those like yourself missed, was the absolutely electrifying, mindblowing stage presence of the incomparable MJK. This man was a force to be reckoned with during that 12 year period. Don't get me wrong, Keenan is still an amazing frontman with a voice that is beyond compare, but he's mellowed big time. That intense level of performing, witnessed by others, myself included, will never be seen again sadly. Adam, Justin and Danny are still the same incredible musicians they've always been. Melting faces wherever they go. Tool is still an AWESOME band live. There is something incomprehensibly special about those 4 human beings. Seeing them live during the Opiate, Undertow, Aenima and Lateralus eras, those were the Creme de la creme years my friend.

When I saw them on this tour in Birmingham, AL, they had two girls, and each one was doing Cirque du Soleil type acrobatics on two separate ropes. That's what I was really hoping to see again after all these years. I know it was this song. They were badass! I'm not sure where this is or how many months are between the date of the Birmingham show, 10/13/2001, & this one. I'm guessing this was before the rope chicks. Oh well, maybe I'll find it somewhere. TOOL_NJ The word can be reserved for something like this, because it is epic. It's like word "awesome" when used correctly, it's great to use.

I was there, great show. Thought they might not do it because of 9/11 but i think it made it even better.

I was there too! Great show.
I was at this show. Right after 9/11...
Great catch. This is my favorite concert theft cut. EXCELLENT~!
So glad to see you once again... huntingtonst (ogt)
The rope chicks were actually a husband wife combo who appeared in the Schism video and subsequent dates on the Lateralus tour called Osseus Labyrint
I was there ;) it was in the top 5 shows I've ever been to
Amazing
Holy shit i was 3 months old
Ever thought how Lateralus and Bold as Love use colours as a metaphor for self-exploration?
Their newer shows are amazing but I miss their more stripped down shows.
maynards vocals at 7:09...
9 days after 9/11 the emotion fuck
Ha played one day after my birth. Awesome
I wish I was intellectually evolved at 2001 so that I was into tool by then. But I was just a 10 year old. 😣

This album was released on my birthday back in 2001. That being said, it was my first birthday so there wasn't much for me to enjoy yet :(

Thanks for posting!

SPIRAL OUT
Is this the Michigan show? I had tickets for the Detroit show but then 911 happened. They offered vouchers to the Grand rapids show to anyone who had tickets for the Detroit. I was like 16 my sister took me and a friend. Meshughah opened for them. Amazing

I didn’t really get what he meant by ‘embrace positive feelings in the coming weeks’ at the beginning there, then I looked at the date.. This was a week after September 11th.
