These songs were incredibly beautiful, my favorites of the album. I'm pretty tired of editing videos so I'm going to take a break for a week or two, and when I come back I'll probably do TOOL alongside other artists just to mix it up and so I can get around to some other music I've wanted to check out. Thanks for everything!

Yeah dude totally understand. Whenever you do go back into Tool would definitely recommend doing the albums as a whole like you did for this one. They're an album band, best listened to in one sitting, even if you release other material in between Tool tracks.

Yeah I think Reflection is my favorite, maybe tied with Third Eye. I think maybe Tool fans think of the end of the album as one big piece more than the songs in their individual parts. It's an absolutely incredible song, I think better than Lateralus, despite that one also being amazing.

Once you've really absorbed it and gotten to know the songs, go find Lucy and talk to her. When things really get going, when you hear the call, put on Lateralus and let it do its thing. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that. And remember, music isn't "like" magic, it IS magic.

The melody from : So crucify the ego, before it's far too late To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical And you will come to find that we are all one mind Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable Just let the light touch you And let the words spill through And let them pass right through Bringing out our hope and reason has been stuck in my head permanently for about 20 years now. I listened to the album on mushrooms and that part was one of my "peaks" and basically changed my perspective forever. the melody comes into my head randomly and stays there for a couple of hours. its like a recurring acid flashback, but the symptoms are that i hear this part of "reflection" on repeat.

There's a reason those songs blend together so well, it was written as one song. It only got split into 3 to satisfy contractual agreements on how many songs were necessary to be considered an album (same with parabol/parabola). And the sound over the final track was a recording of Danny's amp dying.

Its nice to see that you put these 3 songs together, since their overall meaning belong together. Disposition, Reflection and Triad are basically describing the cycle of human life and the whole universe. We are new born stars, finding our way in the universe (Disposition) We find gravity to get influenced by and reflect our behaviour by killing the ego in the best way (Reflection). Finally we've reached enlightemend and celebrate Life by crushing old systems. (Triad) ...and cycle goes on.. I actually cried like a baby when i came to this discovery and digged deeper into the lyrics. Nice to see you feeling the vibe.

Reflection is the overnight trek of the journey, where the wild thoughts and darkness awaits, and Triad is the sunrise and end of the journey, with a new understanding and appreciation of the true nature of this life around you.

I just got a bass in January. Do it, you'll love it. Edit: I got the bass because I started listening to music (tool), and not just hearing it. I then needed to know how it's made so I decided to learn an instrument. I've always loved bass so I picked it. I'm also 46 years old so it's never too late to learn.

I'm 46 and just started playing bass for the first time. My husband got it for me a couple of years ago and I just wasn't feeling it at the time. Then I heard Fear Inoculum and Pneuma and had to figure out how to recreate those bass lines.

I have enjoyed watching these with you thus far :) and partaking ;) I dont think anyone listens to the last track for enjoyment, but it has taken me this many years to realise that it is an expression of what is to come in 10,000 days. Looking forward to watching you make your way through that!

Dude, I totally agree with every stoner revelation and reaction you're having to this while I'm also here watching and listening to this with some fresh ears from being stoned too haha. Holy mother! I somehow feel like I didn't fully realize how magnificent Tool's music is, and I've been in love with it for over 17 years. I think something clicked in me tonite, and I'm hearing so much in the music that I somehow missed before... and it all looks very visual to me while I hear it too! I feel like I'm hearing it in the way you're hearing it, cuz your faces match how it's making me feel. Spiral out, man. Thank you for sharing this!

  • @Dexiray

I see these 3 songs as the following: You find yourself the disposition to put things in motion, collect yourself; then you reflect on everything that you find necessary to do in your life. Then Triad hits and it hits harder than the previous two, my reasoning being is that now is time for tribulations and it ain't pretty to endure what life throws at all most of the time. But there comes a time where the storm will pass, hence the way it ends.

Disposition is one of my favorites , almost seperate from tool entirely , it’s so soothing and introspective and weird hahahah it is bitter sweet , you can feel the passing of time , but also in the moment. I listen to this in nature a lot

I used to eye roll HARD at reaction videos but yours are somehow different, and really something special. I'm simultaneously envious that you get to experience Tool for the first time, which of course all of us commenting here have, but your commitment and intention and presence are such a joy to watch. You're really here for it. It's almost like I get to relive the first times I experienced Tool at each step of their discography through viewing your experience. And I bet those of us who have been following along on your Tool journey were having similar reactions while you heard these absolutely incredible songs in particular. I found myself rocking out, of course, but also saying to myself (and perhaps aloud to you) "No dude! Just wait! Here comes the part that is going to turn your reality inside out and flip you back around again!" and then you hear it, and we see you smile and welp, we're smiling too, man. Thanks for this!

Excellent reaction. I'm on that same page with seeing/feeling geometry while hearling music. I always perceive shapes and textures when hearing sounds and those that Tool produces within that manifestation in me is like no other, and I often think how these things they've created have already been living inside me. It's pretty crazy, and I'm sure others and you yourself feel the same way. It's like they've somehow made a blueprint of the wavelength of my mind and body. But really it's the wavelength of creation and being that they've tapped into, and we relate so strongly because it's a blueprint of all nature. And of course Tool aren't the only musicians doing this but man, they're doing it so well.

Great reaction man, just the joy on your face shows it all. My first concert ever was Tool at Red Rocks '98 on two blotters when I was 16. I think I went to 3-4 Lateralus shows, Pepsi Center being the best behind that show. I missed the Fear Inoculum Tour, couldn't shell out $250 for nosebleed seats but at least I got to see them in their prime.
