Justin's bass work in the latter half of Rosetta Stoned is beyond compare, it's so damn sublime!!

Lipan Conjuring is the beginnings of the Ayahuasca trip ... Lost Keys is 'him' coming to in a hospital room, the constant tone you hear throughout is Justin's bass feedback meant to mimic' his' ears ringing. Rosetta Stoned is 'him' telling the story of what he just experienced, in waves of fear and panic. Incredible compositions!

I also have the Guitar World issue (June 2006 where Adam explains that that is natural sustain he attained without the use of a pedal or E-Bow. You may have the names mixed up. It is definitely feedback sustain from Adam's Custom Les Paul Silverburst

My take on it is Lipan Conjuring is the shaman guiding you into a trip, Lost Keys is it hitting, and Rosetta Stoned is now you’re balls deep in another dimension.

Viginti tres isn’t really a song per se, so adding that onto the Right in two reaction is probably a good idea. Intension “could” be done by itself but why not another three-for?

Hoffman is Albert Hoffman, the scientist who discovered LSD. 😉👍 Rosetta is their wackiest song, both lyrically and musically. Completely awesome!

Seen them 9 times, first in 98 on Lolapalooza with Korn, Prodigy, Snoop, etc...even flew out to Denver from CT to see them. Now my kids wanna see them lol

The same day this album dropped, I saw tool at the paramount theater in Seattle, and they opened the show with Rosetta stone. First live song off of 10,000 days. It was epic!

I went to the Dallas show @ SMUs McFarlin Auditorium that same week and they opened w/ lost keys/rosetta stoned as well. I’ve seen TøøL many times before an actually going to see them this Friday in Dallas ironically, but that show there was the best concert I have ever seen if any band to this day.

They played songs off of 10,000 Days live before the album dropped. As teaser songs. They did the same in the months and almost a year leading up to Fear Inoculum.

@@kjpmi yeah, I think all they actually played live, dating back to 2014, was just an instrumental of "Descending" nothing like the 10k pre-tour... opened with Lost Keys Rosetta Stoned, The Pot, & Vicarious w/full ending vocals, weeks B4 the album was released.

Like others have said, the themes of Inension are definitely related to Right In Two. Also, the last chord of Intension bleeds right into Right In Two (almost like they were forced to find a place to split the one song into two tracks) You could throw rhe last track on there as it is just ambient and probably not worth really reacting to on its own. Glad you enjoyed the tracks.

Intension is generally played right in to 'Right in Two'.

Bob was/is the "deity" of the Church of the Sub-genius which was popular among counter-culture folks back in the 70's and 80's. It was mostly for a laugh - basically what would be considered a meme nowadays.

Going to see them Feb 12th. Can't wait! Saw them play Rosetta Stoned last October at Aftershock. Would love if they played it again!

Check out how the time line.....first the experience.....2nd....the overload, his boys dropped him at the ER, hes still full blown tripping......third Rosetta.......distorted and chaos as he's asking "will I ever be coming down"...as each verse progresses he's "coming down" by the time he straightens out to tell you story (the final verse) he lucid and clear and it's a full blown TOOL Assault!!!! Everything they do is calculated....fucking genius

If you want to experience another cool trip song by Maynard, check out Bullet Train to Iowa by Puscifer (the extended video version would be cool for a reaction video). Very chill, groovy song and you get to see Maynard embrace his Billy D character.

For those who don't know, "Deadhead chemistry" was what The Greatful Dead fans called the LSD being passed around at their shows.

This is why Mom tells you to write things down! Intension *can* be listened to separately but it def connects to Right In Two. Keep either in mind as you listen to the other. Viginti Tres (23) is atmospheric, cosmic… there’s a connection to Lateralus in someway. All said, VT is not a great “reaction” track.

Emp I have tripped on Mushrooms three times and all three times I listened to music including Tool, and let's just say I tripped bad (in a good way) when Rosetta Stone started. It was a wild ride, if you ever get to take a trip in a safe environment it's worth it at least once.
