I am 27 and all that I hear around me are conversations of marriage... my parents are looking for a suitable match for me..... my friends are getting married.... Sometimes it feels so unfair... First u worry about your education then your career then who u r gonna get married to... Like the list always goes on and pressure keeps getting built.... I wonder when we get time for ourselves really to just enjoy where we are without having the pressure to check another box of achievement. I do want get married someday and I am willing to go ahead but sometimes it just feels too much to deal with the worries in your head

Well you could do it now, this moment, enjoy your life. You know one of my best phases of life, it was my architecture exam time. We use to get 8-11 exams in 6 days straight, 2 per day. Bcz we finally just, it was way to easy, study in evening for one and at night for another. All architect students around the world enjoy this like me, which ofcourse any normal human will hate. We even planned going out with friends in free time slots bcz exam was 2-3 hrs, no other attendence, homwrk, classwrk, or any mental exaust!

I haven't heard something from anyone so openly with tremendous sincerity . Or must be i relate to this. Back in 2017 i get through a lot of things for someone. Even saying goodbye to medical and choosing career in the army . I got recommended in 141 pma long but just because i had written the first letter of her name on my lower arm i was declared medically unfit by the medical penal said that it falls in the category of (DSH) deliberately self harm . One army doctor recommended surgery to me to remove that part completely and i went through a 23 Stitch surgery and was bedridden for about a year . Unfortunately,when i reappeared in issb but same result was thrown upon my face and so 3 year went by during this process. After then , i wanted to pursue my career in English literature and got into a prestigious university and got 4/4 CGPA in couple of semester and received scholarship and had genuine desire to become an author someday .. despite this , when she said in the end i don't like nor i want to marry you; I felt like the sky crumbled above and fell upon me like missile or something more harrowing and I wish the earth open and swallow me and on that day i left : my education, my life and attempted suicide by taking poisonous pill. Nevertheless, miraculously survived but still i am not over it. . After ages I felt someone's words.Your words somehow touched my heart and the pain in your mellow voice. what u are trying to convey is harsh truth. . Thank you so much for disseminating lifesaving message and protecting countless lives. Thank a million. you make me told something that I had kept in my heart and by saying this my heart feel a little light as if a heavy burden is lifted up from me and the true & abject purpose for sharing the whole story is to not gain affected sympathy or empathy of you guys but for everyone out there to learn a lesson from me and don't ruin your life for someone .

I literally have no words to say.. You're a gem.. I'm amazed with the thoughts of yours and I'm speechless.. Everything you discussed was fact which goes on an Indian family. They're still thinking of all those old days but very few know that the world has changed and we have to not be stubborn and we should go with the flow and also have a growth mind set rather than a fixed one... And finding a right person to get married to is a big task.. And once we get to know someone really well then another problem arises that's the caste...And yes...many Indian family is still against it.. So what I believe that this should end. Why caste system still prevails in India? It's like finding a right person is difficult task and with the mentality of caste, religion ..it has become much more difficult finding a right person. Planning is something that I would not do. Since I lay my trust on God and do the work in my present and not touble myself thinking of the future. Because the religion that I follow doesn't burdon me with anything extraa to achieve or anything huge to conquer. It just says to live, pray, love, eat and die. I am actually happy with this. And this is my first goal rest is secondary. If I get that secondary goal ok, if I don't get that which I obviously won't looking at the stats and probability of the politics and competition going on there no worries. Since I don't want to pressurise myself thinking about something so invaluable when I already have my God giving me reason enough why to live and what to make as my goal. Halleyluyah

I m in a depression because of my father who is against love marriages. I love a intercaste boy n he is really nice man but he is already threatening me whenever he see me using phone,he begin to taunt as if it is his life. Sometimes i feel like committing suicide bcs i can t live without that person who is the exact partner i always wanted for me I wish i had no father if fathers are cause of depression in someone's life.

I'm 22, and my parents have been pressuring me to marry since I was 19. I clearly tell them that I'll but not now i wanna work on my career. (While my graduation) they were like they'll tc for your edu. And career. But tell if my own parents doesn't career about my edu. My career why anybody gonna care?? So last year i just moved out and living my own working as a freelance video editor. I actually missed them but every time they call just to talk about sadi and all and dn i remember why i have to stay away from them.
