As a Jojo fan and a Grizzly Bear fan (yes, you can be both), this cover blew my mind in the best possible way.

Rossen does a great job of layering his voice. Beside his guitar play, his best strength.

It's not a cheesy pop song. Also, JoJo is amazing. Her vocals on "Too Little, Too Late" are incredible, and it has a ton of soul. That you would even suggest it does not is just odd in my opinion. Just because they are different styles does not mean one is shallow and the other is not. JoJo is one of the most soulful singers around. This is super cool. We should all spam JoJo with the link on twitter. :P

"This closeness" film brought me here. I'm trapped in this song. The film and this ending scene song are heaven. Mr Rossen idk why i havent pay attention to your art as well as this girl director of this beautiful film. I thought there was no way in hell this was going to be the Jojo song. I was very mistaken, and very glad that I was. This is amazing.

Hey, Just so you know, the artwork goes hand in hand with the music. Both give a sense of a cute melancholy, lonely and estranged vibe. So 1 up Rossen and 1 up ya.

I heard this by accident. However, I must say I'm quite impressed what Grizzly Bear did with this song. They totally made it their own! I had the wrong idea that they would do a straight cover.

Just because someone has their own opinion, doesn't mean you should shoot them down. Personally, I think it's beautiful. I'm not saying her version is worse, it just differs upon that persons taste of music. Some of us prefer this to Jojo's pop. If you can't deal with that, you shouldn't be here.

i didn't mellow it down or do anything to it, aside of posting it. unless you're referring to the visual part, but that took me 6 minutes and a half to do while i was very bored and killing time. it's just a cover that i love and wanted to share with people. im not quite sure if you're comment is a negative thing, because I dont see anything wrong with a tune being indie or radiant. hah anyhow you're entitled to your opinion :D

just cause it sounds like mumford and sons and has acoustic instruments doesn't mean it has soul...it definitely has more 'personality' than the jojo song and is an incredible cover but jojo got dem pipes and with that kind of vocal power the word soul usually is thrown around...imho.
