Maybe it’s for the best. Imagine getting attached to an actor like that over the course of like a decade, only to have him die at the end of the story. Having to say goodbye to this charisma alone after becoming accustomed to it would just be horrid. At least we’ll never have to experience anything like that. Plus John Cena plays the role as Iron Man really well!

Life. Really , that´s it. Remember, Robert actally has an alternative background, he grow up with artists of all kinds- meaning that he got to now verry inordenary points of view and woud have to develope a strong sense of self- simply because that´s the only way you can survive in such a surroundment. But naturally that´s just one of many ingredings ;-).

TheNobleScoundrel That’s how movies are supposed to be recorded. You need all of that sound information in order to make editing easier. It’s also why the raw video footage usually looks very washed out and grey. This is because when they go to edit it contains so much more information and is easier to edit than a pleasant looking film. Tricks of the trade my friend. Raw footage (audio and visual) is usually pretty gross.

@@ghostknight1865 most audio in films is added in later, including dialogue. If you here footsteps, rustling of clothes, wind, sounds of cars, picking up of a glass of water, placing down of a glass of water. That is all fake and added afterwards. For example, i did a film two years ago where a character was drinking some whisky in a glass. For the actual take we placed soft pads under the glass to stop it from clinking on the table. Then we recorded audio takes of the glass being placed on the table. take that into post and add the sound of the glass touching the table after the fact. You do these sorts of things so that dialogue can be heard clearly. If we just did the take without that, we would end up with the sound of glass over powering the dialouge and you wouldnt know what anyone was saying. While also being very distracting.

The way they perfectly took what was long winded dialogue and compounded the best parts is what makes a movie. All the right parts, love this.

Robert Downey Jr proves he is the best actor ever. He is great as Sherlock Holmes, Tony Stark and many more. Still remember his come back with the Elton John music video I want Love. Great actor and will always see his films

I don't know what you mean by "under appreciated." He is a two time Oscar nominee, and was (until about last year) the highest paid movie star in the world.

Scenes like the one with Rhodey are exactly why Robert was the perfect person to play Tony Stark. The only way I'd want them to recast Iron Man is if Tony handed the responsibility to someone else; Robert's too identified with the role for another tactic to work.

Thought the second scene was just RDJ making jokes until he starts talking to them about medals 😁😁

Just that first take alone... They both had their lines down and went through over two minutes of dialogue without even stumbling. Very impressive.

I do gotta say RDJ, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, all have transcend being an actor and really became their character.

RDJ's Tony Stark's attitude from Ironman I to Age of Ultron has changed A LOT. idk how to explain how his attitude changed but can any of you guys tell too?

Titan5774 Could be an evolution of personality caused either by the actor's finding of a certain groove over time, a varied interpretation of the character from each movie's script, or a mix of both as the character himself evolves through the happening of different events throughout the timeline -- Iron Man villains, Chitauri army, "Mandarin" & Pepper's near death, Ultron & near destruction of Earth -- and RDJ adjusts appropriately. *In short*, a maturity arises in tandem with RDJ's interpretation of how Stark copes with life events. Maybe.

+Lolani Faapito Well, that's exactly what an actor does: a maturity/development (or immaturity/regression in some cases) arises in tandem with the actor's interpretation of how the character copes with life events in the story. As an actor myself, I know there's more to it than that, but more or less, that is probably the best job description of the acting profession if there ever was one.
