​. Biden. He is making decisions based on what's good for all Americans not just some.. I have no doubts that Obama would be vastly improved if, he was able to use what he experienced and learned from his time in office, that's not always possible. However it's Biden who has the edge since he's a good man to his core, and he already knows about the limitations placed upon Presidents by the system. He isn't a great Orator like Obama, but listen to the words, none are avoided because of his to his lifelong battle against stuttering and the nervousness that goes with it. It is the the very presence of this that allows us to admire him, and there is his life dedicated to public service. This other very human life has been marked by tragedies on such a deeply personal level that I cannot even imagine how he ever got out of bed again. The American people should read about those tragedies and how he got through those, and might believe better in his ability to understand their lives. and what he has overcome .

Oh if only people listened to this! This is my first time listening to this and man was he right on about how Trump would act if he lost the election-Trump is doing everything Schwartz said he would.

To me, the puzzle was never, what kind of person is Donald Trump, but rather, why do half of us want to be ruled by such a person? His character was never a secret, he has been allowed to give the nation concrete evidence, and he has already changed the demographics of the Supreme Court. So-not as good a choice as Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry or Al Gore, I admit. But he's a nice old duffer, he's sharp on foreign policy, if he has a moment to think he seems to do the right thing, and _he takes advice._ No bleach injections, no sharpies on the weather warning map, no absurd walls, you know? As to family-I'm not going to defend Hunter; it looks like he needs a lawyer for that. But why would I? Hunter didn't run for election and isn't in the White House; it's for the courts, not us, to decide on Hunter. Unlike the Trump situation. Trump installed most of his family as officials. _That,_ my friend, is what corrupt government looks like. These (aside from my judgment that Biden seems nice-that's a personal call) are facts-if you don't trust the US media (and myself I don't), you can check the international press from several different countries and compare them. We aren't in Russia or China, so it's pretty easy to do online.

In the early Eighties, I was watching the show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and they were doing a piece on Donald Trump. I read the other book the Tiny Schwartz wrote, “What Really Matters” after my husband died of cancer at 48 years old, when I was seeking some way to keep going. That was probably 2003 or 2004, and it really helped, although I can’t explain why. Then I read the article Schwartz wrote before the election (mentioned here) and couldn’t believe this was the same author; I’m certainly glad he saw how the outcome helped create this monstrosity who very well may bring down democracy. I also watched this video when it first came out. Unfortunately, the introspection of 1 man can’t do much. We need the introspection of the Republican Party, and we need public servants who want to serve the public, not gerrymander and lie to stay in office.

Biden has empowered the FBI and DOJ to raid the homes of political opponents with swat teams in the middle of the night, much like the KGB. This was never seen before in the USA. Biden has imprisoned trespassers into the WH under Draconian conditions for a year and half without charges being placed or trial date set. That is what is done in totalitarian states- never here in the USA. Laws in this country are passed by Congress and the Executive Branch (the President) is supposed to implement those laws. Biden has encouraged the violation of all our immigration laws at the border and in the process has enriched the cartels with billions of dollars so that they now rule in Mexico. Biden has ignored sex trafficked children being smuggled across the border and if you recall all the noise made about the supposed mistreatment of children under Trump (which were actually placed in those conditions under Obama but of course the leftist Trump hating media would never report the truth about it) are now 10 times worse under Biden- but silence from the press. Then there is the climate change fraud which you who are reading this now need to educate yourself beyond the propaganda put out by the gov't. The earth temps has always fluctuated and severe weather events are no more frequent now and no more severe than they were before the industrial Revolution. Carbon has little or no effect on weather. It is a massive lie- a fraud which is being used to enrich the left who are trying to destroy our freedoms and prosperity and with your help and to the detriment of you and your family and the whole nation- they appear to be succeeding. Tony Schwartz was wrong- is wrong and I wonder what his view is now in light of the past 8-16 years.

Unfortunately the people who could do with hearing it will not be watching it and if they did they would interpret it in a totally different way. The vast majority of those that are watching are not the ones that don't already know most of it by now. Sorry, but that's the cold shower of reality.

He was spot on about Donald Trump then and now. The other person that is usually right about Trump is Donald's niece. In order to understand Donald Trump and his presidency, you have to understand Trump's psychology (e.g., his narcissism, his constant lying, his unhinged behavior, etc.) and perhaps his political views (e.g., he does not believe in democracy).

THEN, he got to intimately know trump through the interviews, and recognized what a deeply flawed individual he was. Then trump decides to run for president and this guy recognizes what a bad idea this is. His impression of trump was dead on.

Anyone who grew up and/or lived in NYC beginning in the late 1980s through the early 1990s knew and understood this. That's why he LOST New York City, as well as the State of New York. And why the thin-skinned narcissist CHANGED his residence to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach County, Florida (he won the state in 2016 and 2020, but did lose the County both times). Unfortunately, he was able to evade consequences for his immoral, unethical, and even illegal actions. Which is why many of us voted for HRC to vote AGAINST him. But he's a great conman and convinced enough people to vote for him to win the electoral college vote and presidency. It is still hard to fathom the votes he garnered in 2016, and even more so in 2020, and that he remains the republican frontrunner for 2024. It is not only disturbing and embarrassing, but also deeply concerning and devastatingly frightening (as our Democracy seriously in jeopardy!)...

This is clearly an honest and no doubt very difficult admission from someone who has in part fuelled Trump’s self promotion. All the the more chilling when we realise this went public ‘before’ Trump became President. As someone in the UK 🇬🇧 who realised remotely that Trump was plainly dishonest and entirely unsuitable for Office, I was always amazed that the American 🇺🇸 people were taken in by him and his antics. Every word of Tony Schwartz address to the Oxford Union has proved to correct. There is no doubt in my mind that Trump’s endorsement of Putin has acted to further embolden Putin to invade Ukraine 🇺🇦 and behave in such an autocratic way. Sadly they are such similar personalities. They are a disgrace to Mankind.

*_SNAP!_* - to everything you say - UK resident, sussed him before his election, dishonest, unsuitable for office, Trump = Putin. In my opinion, he had a lot in common with a mob boss. He'd have got along well with Al Capone - as he got along well with Putin and Kim Jong Un. I have a strong suspicion that if he had never been president, we wouldn't have the war in Ukraine now. Of course, I can't know that, but he had a number of meetings with Putin with no other American present, and when he did have a note-taker, he confiscated the notes and told the taker not to repeat anything he had heard. I don't think it too much of a stretch to believe he was working with the Kremlin. I'm pretty sure it was all mixed up with his business interests in Russia - I seem to remember talk of a Moscow Trump Tower? I believe that Putin helped him into the White House, and the reason he was so desperate to get there was to make money from the office - which he may well have done. He has certainly made personal money from his supporters. Let's just hope that something upsets his 2024 apple-cart in a major way - like a prison sentence, for example.

I've seen him several times before and he has given this same message. So, he tried to get this information out during the campaign...it somehow got lost in all of the other stuff. -- I read people pretty well, and I came to these conclusions about Trump long before this man stated them. -- You have to really listen to what people say and do. You must also listen to what they do not say or do...It's all relevant in determining who a person is.. -- To me, Mr. Trump is the ultimate con artist. I don't believe anything he says. The good thing is...he will only be president for 4 years. After he doesn't make good on all of his promises...they won't re elect him.

It was out there. A lot of other people who knew Trump were saying very similar things. Some loved what he was saying, despite knowing who he really was. Others didn't take him seriously, because they knew who he was. That should be a warning to us all.

In 2016 when I saw the election was not going well for Hillary Clinton, I turned of the TV and took my sick feeling stomach to bed. Of course morning brought my worst fears to reality. They haven't changed a bit, and I don't have the eloquence to find a new way to express the danger that Trump is to us, and to the world.

Truly appreciate Tony Schwartz story. He is a great speaker and very uplifting. Thank you.

Amazing speech of true. Wake up America

Almost one year later since i watched this and have learned so much more because of Trump. I self educated myself on economics, history, science, technology, politics, and many more subjects. Even learned about body language. The one positive i got from Trump is an education i would have never gotten.

I saw this in real time. Election night 2016 was a horror that has never ended. It just keeps getting worse.

I was amazed by Tony Schwartz incites about Trump at the age of 38. His presentation at Oxford 10 days prior to the 2016 election was prescient.

Amazing how this man predicted what we now are experiencing.
