We head to SF Cote D'Azur, the Ferrari dealership in Cannes so that Tony can test drive a Ferrari Roma! We have discussed this car a lot on our podcast and during our drive down to the South of France, myself, Tony and Paul all agreed a Roma would have been the perfect car for the adventure.

Absolutely love the Roma. So classy, so elegant but very colour dependant in my opinion. Tony should definitely buy one! 😎

That car’s looks have fully grown on me and the interior is something else. Who says Ferrari have lost their way again? This, SF90, new 296 GTB as the driver’s car, they’re on a roll in terms of offering.

Ferrari had a whole bunch at the 2020 Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone & we got to compare the colours. The dreariest was black! Most dark colours look grim! The standout colour was an Electro Blue shade. Graypaul Ferrari have had a Pale green which looks stunning. For a surprisingly elegant but fun car the triple-layer yellow needs seeing, it’s amazing! I would possibly go with a metallic mid-coffee shade with tan interior for a classy look.
Still can’t believe this channel don’t have 1m subs with all the amazing and beautiful cinematics. And sam, can you make you videos longer especially when you’re with tony and friends? Conversations are so much fun and so much to learn from tony.

I drove the Roma recently and agree. Beautiful looking car, special place to be and a proper Ferrari. Loved it.

This is fast becoming a very entertaining trio. Great stuff as always.
Drove a Roma, feel very light, nimble and lovely to drive, great car
Ideal car for that trip. The Roma at 1570kg is only 75kg more than the GT4, and a full 268kg lighter than the Jaguar F-Type Convertible P575 at 1838kg.

1471.907 kg this information is from official Ferrari site 😀 so it's lighter than his Cayman GT4...

@@firstprototype that’s the ‘dry’ weight without any fluids - slightly academic as the car can’t run without any. The ‘kerb’ weight is the more realistic 1570kg. Better to compare like-for-like ‘kerb’ weight figures.

Charles Leclerc lives in the same building as my mother and he has one... I asked him what he thought of it and he said it was a great car!
There's just something special about the vibes and quality of STG videos that make this perhaps my favourite car channel on youtube.

I went to Silverstone last month for a Ferrari racing day. There were so many amazing ferraris there but I fell utterly in love wthe the Roma :) it's got so much presence and looks so beautiful in the flesh !
100% Tony should buy a Roma🇮🇹 daft not to😁 tell him otherwise I'll take the piss out of him next time he's in😆 it's a beautiful car & absolutely has class from every angle! Great video Sam🙌

Awesome looking car. Disappointed they went with the touch screen buttons on wheel and HVAC, some things need to be tactile buttons especially in a Ferrari. Nice video. Keep up the good work.

At first I was not sure about the Roma, but after seeing a few in the flesh and fortunately driving one myself, I really like like it now. However the cabin feels very small in comparison to the competitors.

Yeah but look at the guy...he just doesn't suit supercars. My golden rules are under 35, fit & good looking....& preferably owning a chin. Unless he's just after a hot gold-digger, in which case, go for it & don't worry about the people laughing at him as a Baldrick lookalike with a midlife crisis.

@@Pwwh0711 I hear you, but think of it like this, what if after working your ass off for countless decades, don't you believe a person deserves the luxury of enjoying the fruits of their labour. Even if they are over the age of 70, overweight and not so handsome, I hope everyone gets to enjoy their fruits. Delayed gratification is a virtue very few people appreciate anymore.

Hey Sam and Tony I love the channel also love the podcast and I’m writing this comment after watching Tony test drive the Roma in Canne and I couldn’t help but notice the Rolex Daytona on Tony’s wrist and I was wondering if maybe you guys could do an segment on an upcom ng podcast about the watches you both own or dream to own

I popped into the Dick Lovett Ferrari dealership in Swindon just yesterday for some Ferrari spotting and they had a Ferrari Roma on the floor, the first one I've ever seen in the flesh and what a thing of beauty!
Roma in dark green, tan/brown interior with silver wheels!
I actually spend my whole day today behind the wheel of one and unless you drive it in 'wet' on the Manetino it performs really good
Gorgeous, but the colour of Roma Tony was driving looked like 'doom blue' to me!
I totally agree with Tony that the car is a lot bigger in reality then the pictures would let you guess. I'f seen one a few weeks back in St. Gallen Switzerland and its a gorgeous car. The owner just came back and I was able to enjoy the cold start. I almost made a mess in my trousers!

I came across this channel after listening to the podcast you did with Chris Harris. Your honesty was refreshing about the life of the influencer and how it may not be as lucrative or glamorous as some may imagine. That having been said, you've had a pretty good stab at iton this road trip! I like the way you present but I'm not sure the other two are worthwhile to have along. The guy who spent the video on his phone seemed disgruntled he wasn't the centre of attention and came in to trump you with cars only when he felt like it. Tony was interesting. He clearly relishes every second in the limelight. I am sure Harry Enfield would have had a field day with him as a character, oh hang on a moment he did in the 80s with Loadsa Money. Perhaps that was in the days before he was Tony Mallet and was just plain old Tony Mullett? His constant flicking of the watch to the camera (when he remembered) and the need to tell people about his wealth was a sign of him desperate to be taken seriously as "A Player" but I am sure a real player would walk into Maranellos and write a cheque for a right hand drive Roma. That aside, I think you are a great presenter and can carry a film like this off with great skill on your own.
'Pretty Car' (extract from opening scene Italian Job - original and only version)... but hate that LCD screen midships, tacky! I want the roof off too so whilst a great looker it would be the Portofino M for ME! As always though, enjoyed that - thanks!

I remember seeing a video, possibly of Harry's garage, where he said that you cannot spec the side shield on the Roma because it's not considered a "race heritage" ferrari. Apparently you actually can... but probably shouldn't :D

Again, a ringer of a video Sam... and Tony is a star! I absolutely love the Roma... BUT... there's a problem with the rather huge voluptuous fenders (and they ARE quite beautyful) and the fitment of those tiny looking wheels? The stance is just... well...off, really! What do you guys think?
I’m not even close to being in the market for a Roma but as far as I’m concerned it is the most desirable of the current Ferrari lineup

The Roma is the only Ferrari I’ve been lucky enough to drive and what an impressive piece of kit it is - was surprised just how nimble it was around a b-road, the ride and turn in were both superb. The only thing I don’t like about the Ferrari set up is the indicators!
Get that Roma Tony! We live just a few Kms up the road from where you were driving around, by Le Cannet and Cannes proper. It suits the Mediterranean coast and especially the Riviera - but I reckon it would look just as good outside your greasy spoon of choice in Blighty too! Get it sorted, it’s a proper car, that!

Tony in Roma is for personal or for him resell in few months. So as Tony it be resell spec properly.
Good looking car, but just crazy thinking of buying a Roma at 200K when you can get a good 812 for 230K.
The last time I saw a video with Tony in it, he was learning to drive. He was in a Ferrari-engined Alfa Romeo. It was both hilarious and shocking at the same time.
Tony should be wearing his track suit when test driving..
Would be the Portofino M for me or the new Merc SL.
You know it's gorgeous when it's a full-on Audi colour and still makes you drewl. I sure hope Tony buys a decent colour one! May I recommend Rosso Mugello or Rosso Fiorano?
As soon as they released it, the Roma instantly became my favourite Ferrari, it is impossibly beautiful and elegant, obviously not the most exclusive, expensive or fasted Ferrari but it’s the one I would want to be seen driving, F8s are a little shouty for me and the 812 although beautiful itself, looks a little heavy and cumbersome (Ian am sure it isn’t) but to me it’s just not as pretty as the Roma. Also, I think the lighter colours suit the Roma the best.

The Roma is a beautiful car, but I still think the new sweetspot in the Ferrari lineup will be the 296 GTB. Organic shape, big performance and pricewise reasonable, for a ferrari. Looking forward for the first testdrives!

Yes, I'm intrigued by 296 but worry it will be 'too' powerful. You may not be able to scratch the surface on public roads

@@seenthroughglass agree. But thats the problem with all super (or sometimes even sports) cars these days. The, imo not good looking sf90, shows how managable ~1k hp can be, though
