Yep. 11 yrs old here! She conquered the ramp, jump, and the vert for some big air on only her third try. She was the first female to conquer the mega there. Hawk, Sloan, and the others were super impressed. I'm sure they all knew that she was a future champion. Otherwise, she probably wouldn't have been there

Sorry to tell you but some of them are still be seen as banes of society. It's all about the right place and time to skate. No matter how 'good' you are, even if you're an olympian, if you skate at public parks (not specifically for skating) and scare normal people/children with the risk of hurting them OR use public sometimes even private property to use as skating ramps, those skaters ARE banes of society. 😭

This is so heartwarming to see! When i was a kid i wanted to skate so much but was bullied out of it for being a girl. Ive seen so many little girls thrive in the last few years, and getting support from Tony Hawk even! Its so great to see these kids succeed in something they love

That’s what happens. When somethings brand new it seems Exotic and Difficult. Skateboards as we know them have only been around for 71 years since 1950, so for a long time it was incredibly taboo and annoying to most Americans who felt only “Stupid Pot Head Drug Addicts” would ever try to skateboard. Back in the 1950s it was actually a very literal Reality for many young people who started skateboarding, who got forced out of their own family because they felt they were “Ruining their life completely” by skateboarding. . It’s 2021, however, and skateboarders have had their genuine Fame and Fortune in this world for close to 50 years now already, so it’s no longer something new anymore, it’s a very common Household thing to do in America these days. Because of Tony Hawk most especially, multiple Generations have now been influenced by his Talent, so it’s stopped becoming a new and Difficult hobby only certain people partake in, and instead has become something that millions and millions of people worldwide now partake in on a daily basis. . Just like with everything else in this world, everything that once was Difficult will become incredibly easy as time goes on and more and more people realize new things about it. The very first computer was like 25 Feet long or some crazy shit because it was the first time anyone had ever managed to even think about something like a Computer, let alone build it. However, as time went on, more and more people began to work with computers, and sure enough, the computers become smaller and more efficient as more people realized new things about computers. Technology is so advanced after a mere 100 years now since 1921 that most **Babies** these days have access to Smartphones and Tablets because they’re so cheap and so prevalent these days. In major cities across the world it’s becoming more and more common to see children under the age of 5 walking around with some kind of device in their hand at all times. 1921, america was going through the Tulsa Race Massacre, they still commonly traveled by horse everywhere except in major cities like San Fransisco, Los Angeles and New York, which now had access to primitive Gas powered Hulking Monstrosities of shitty old cars that were literal Death Traps on wheels. Carnivals as we know them today were just truly starting to become a thing, and the US was still 9 years away from the Dust Bowl. Also, in 1921, they were still 6 years away from any form of Television in any capacity being invented. . As time passes on, everything gets easier and easier and easier to do as more and more and more Knowledge and Understanding is shared, thus leading to videos like this where we see children around 5-7 years old crushing Mega Ramos and huge Bowls that used to terrify grown men 30 years ago.

@@krisjanelle3308 yeah. Just awesome. I know he’s getting a little older, but it’s awesome to see how he has lived as “the skater”. The guy you think of when you think of skating. From the young and hungry up and coming teen skating prodigy like in “the search for Animal Chin”. Then as the number 1 skater in the world during his prime 20s and 30s. Now, he’s older and not necessarily in his prime physically, but he still is mentally. And how is he spending his time? Obviously with friends and family, but also giving back to the young kids like this young girl here. He’s helping and encouraging and probably giving tips and secrets of skating that he gained on his decades of skating glory. I think it’s cool that as the original “skater” is growing older, he’s passing on his knowledge of the craft to the next generation. It’s what a true master of their craft does. And it’s the right thing to do too. Awesome, and even if it’s just small things like this, helping a newer skater conquer their fears, that’s still doing something for the sport and for the next generation. Basically, what I’m saying is, Tony Hawk is a flippin legend

Tony hawk is one of the most approachable athletes out there. Few other athletes are as dedicated to the community, and particularly to young people, as he is. Even if he was just a mediocre skateboarder he would be the GOAT just for the incredible amount of encouragement and support he has given to extreme sports of all kinds.
