Learn about Tongue River Ranch the 2011 American Quarter Horse Association Pfizer Best Remuda Award Winner. Started in 1898 with 89-thousand acres in Texas and an additional 30-thousand acres in New Mexico, Tongue River Ranch has an extensive cattle operation and of course a stellar American Quarter Horse breeding program. Their ranch remuda is known for excellent conformation good minded horses with a lot of cow sense and athletic ability. Tongue River horses have had success in the show arena as well.
