You are leaving out a LOT of correct content! The Peavys had Lawrence as well and Coke Roberts and the Semotans had more to do with the founding of AQHA than the Cleggs. We donated the tapes to your museum so that you wouldn't lose that part of history.

They would kick me out of the ring for holding the whip in my hand and not slapping the reins on my horse's butt.

👍👍video, some moons ago I rode with Arthur/ Curley Talmage who in his younger days hauled 1 eyed Rey jay around the country cutting cows. Later on I rode a mess of Dick Badger offspring and yes a bit rough they were. Tough as nails. Love the foundations and history. My best pony memories was a grandson of Leo on top, great grandson of Hollywood gold on bottom . Boy could he stop turn around. Next up a mare 5x sugar bars. A real stopper a petty to look at.👍

This horse looks half dead and lame and yet still more forward than some of the most recent horses I've seen in Western riding

My first horse was out of Ricky Bonanza. He had such a gentle temperament, and a willingness to please. Best horse I’ve ever had! ❤

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this horse.... I have come across plenty of studs in my 25 years of owning horses that aren't even halter bred that look like this. I know there are extremely grotesque looking halter bred stallions, but this 1 isn't one of them. He's what you want in a halter horse, but anything buffer and bigger than him is a no go.

This saddens me, only because this is what horses are supposed to look like. Not these steroided up hulks of horses that can barely move, not these noseless arabians that look like the struggle for every breath at a walk or trot.

Weird how young horses tend to get this. I interned at a equine hospital and all young horses had ulcers

Guy Ray was a wonderful man and neighbor. If you had an injured horse or needed help with a horse problem he was never too busy to help. Thank you Guy Ray and family.

I grew up riding with these kids. Preston and I still ride every chance we get together. Cali is a Sophomore at Texas A&M for pre-vet med. I loved growing up with these kids to teach me everything about ranch sorting. Joel and Colette do an amazing job preparing them for all of the big shows.

Man, I have been in love with a QH since I was a little kid... like 60 years ago! I just wish we could let them grow a bit more so they dont blow up hocks and naviculars from starting way too young and end up put down too young or just thrown away to the killers. We might outta think about why we have a 7 panel now too. Dont mean it ugly, much respect to AQHA and yall pros... your the ones holding the reins and the only one who can make change. I hope theres still a QH around in 100 years, tho the breed is already hurt. HYPP, PSSM1, HERDA, GBED, MH, IMM, OLWS... and there will be more. Dont let greed ruin the breed..... Please... I think its more about money than this amazing breed for most. Just because everyone does it, doesnt make it right.

This videos information is outdated and should no longer be followed. Cribbing in horses is caused by high cortisol levels. Attempting to prevent cribbing has a much higher mortality rate than allowing it to happen.
