Beautiful I would consider Tonga to be a rich country not in its buildings, currency or fancy things people may consider you to be rich but rich in faith, family, love and they live off the land mostly which is how they eat their daily meals. I am happy Tonga has not brought in such processed foods like all countries have. It is nice to experience the realness of living life a simple way without the hustle and bustle that is true happiness. My mums Tongan so I grew up hearing so many amazing stories of her upbringing.

Such a beautiful country! So glad I could visit!
🥰 “Hufanga ‘anga e lupe” - Hufangalupe the land beach of my grandfather ♥️The little house in the main road before going down to Hufangalupe was where I grew up knowing my grandfather as a farmer (Solia’i Fui Foliaki), that little house was a church way back in the 80’s and later on the years my grandfather inherited it and became his living hut with his younger brother (Takau Fui Foliaki) but anyways, I really miss the memories of growing up there with my siblings and cousins when we were kids! Underneath the reef there was a pool water that was called ”Vai ko Tofeki” it’s been gone from earthquakes rocks falling on it! The spot where everyone goes for a swim is “Fangapava” it’s where our family would have ‘umu or tunu on holidays way back in the 90’s and early 20’s! It’s been so long, I can’t wait to visit back again and go there as a remembering of my childhood memories and my late passed away grandfather 🥹 thank you for posting this ❤from 🇺🇸

Enjoyed watching your video. We are going to Tonga next month. Would you recommend the rental car company and did you need to get a local licence?
@analeetravels

Would definitely recommend the company we used!! Didn’t need a local license, we just drove with our NZ licenses and they didn’t even check them, would be able to use any overseas license as far as I know!

The service in little Italy is horrible, the first night wasn't bad but the second night The staff just sat in the front counter and just stared at us like we wasn't suppose to be there lol. But a tip next time you go to the islands down sleep or lay under a coconut tree. 🤕

I would say yes and no, it is a small island so has limited resources. It is still a developing country that has been made worse with natural disasters. On the Un list they rate it 130th in the list of riches countries with a-lot of households living in poverty

Poor country? Umm no, I lived there and I never seen a homeless person there and if there is one the Tongans help out. I’ve travelled all over as well and I’ve seen homeless people in Europe and the Americas, New Zealand, Mexico etc Tonga is by far one of the best place to visit if you’re not a wining spoiled brat. Speaking in general of course lol
