My heart when someone said “this is the coolest night of our life!!” 🥺🥺😭😭🥰🥰 Like fuck, that’s gotta be a great feeling, being the artist that gives someone that feeling. 💛💛

She wrote the song after she had one of her worst busking days of her career. Someone robbed her money, drunk people were harassing her, and literally the audience were booing her because she wanted to stop playing for her. She then proceeded to write this and make a song out of it and boom. This goes to show that you can transform the worst experiences in your life and then turn them into fuel to make you achieve things you never thought were possible.

I reckon she/this song was known to them, at the time. She was living in Byron Bay then, which is a pretty small place with a tight-knit street performance community. Notice everyone singing along to the lyrics. I'm sure this was not the first time those people heard this song. But yes, still absolutely amazing nonetheless! I wish her nothing but success! :)

Not exactly sure how she got discovered, but I love to think that some Sony music executive from LA was on vacation in Australia, walking around after dinner and drinks, passed by this random large crowd and stopped for a moment to listen. Impressed by her unique voice, her passion and her infectious tones, he takes a quick video on his phone and sends it 7,000 miles across the Pacific where it "dings" into the phone of another executive at Sony Music while he's sitting at his Malibu home watching TV. A short time later, her life would never be the same.
