@@oliviaslivies9829 it is hard to do. That’s no lie, generally when people sing about what their troubles, it’s usually more personal and touching. Maybe she wanted to avoid that, by making it as vague as possible so it can relate to everyone. But it also makes it that much less impactful.

I understand the place that this song is coming from, but it’s elaborated on at such a surface middle school level that I seriously don’t get anything out of it that I haven’t gotten out of any other song about sadness or depression. Not that music has to be complex to be enjoyable, it’s just that there is literally nothing new here.

Everything I listed as an accomplishment came well before the album was released. “Killing it”, according to Google… “slang expression that means that someone is doing very, very well. Use this to talk about people succeeding, not just a little but a lot” It may have been lost in translation, but it’s a term used in the US to describe someone doing very well. It’s positive, not negative.
