I'm so confused by all the comments disliking this song. The first time I heard it, it captivated me. It feels like a song from a movie or show where two people have lost each other and one decides to show up at the other's door because they realized they can't live without their soul mate. The music builds in such a powerful way that perfectly captures the agony of an ended relationship and the hope and desire that comes with standing at the threshold of starting again with the person you love the most. Then at the ending, the song leaves you hanging in an exciting way as though it ends right as you see the person knock on their ex's door and the screen cuts to black. You are left nervous and wanting but at the same time fulfilled and happy similar to the feelings you might get from the gospel music the chorus seems to takes inspiration from. The composition evokes a jumbled mess of emotion that is quite effective. I wouldn't change a single thing about it.
