siendo sinceros bajo mi punto de vista la música electrónica de cualquier genero, esta en decadencia la mayoría opta por lo genérico, tiesto es un ejemplo claro a diferencia de armin van buuren, no obstante, en la actualidad también esta por sonidos genéricos, sinceramente escuchar este set de kygo trae demasiada nostalgia y es un ejemplo de que pudo ser mejor que la actualidad. aunque tampoco es tan malo a diferencia de SHM que si con su regreso trataron de copiar en parte su trabajo o ir por lo genérico. no digo que este mal, solo espero que dejen de lado la mediocridad a pesar de ser difícil encontrar sonidos nuevos a su estilo. pero bueno solo es una opinión personal aunque el UMF del 2016 aun mantiene parte de esta esencia mágica.

This 22 min set changed my life!!! idk if most people know the story of this set but basically Avicii dropped out and let Kygo take his place back when Kygo was a NOBODY.. Everyone left this day at Tomorrowworld knowing Kygo was up next!!! Literally months later he blew up, congrats to him.. RIP Avicii :(

Not all true, saying he was a Nobody before this day, but I get what your saying. He was topping the charts in Scandinavia with Younger before this set. Notable people like Chris Martin asked him to remix their song before this, and Ed Sheeran praised his remix of "I See Fire" But when Firestone came out, he went from "some producer" to Kygo, the producer.

I was in this crowd. We were at the main stage waiting to see avicii. When he dropped out we were too lazy to go out and find a different set to watch. Best decision ever, my fav set of all time in all my years going to festivals.

I don't think he really replaced avicii because i don't think avicii would have played on daytime... Avicii was off the list of the acts and kygo was set in, but from the bottom and everyting was moved up to fill the "avicii gap" if you get what i mean. I'm sure some deserved dj got to take aviciis ,probably perfect, settime :)

Kygo is amazing. He's just playing at the wrong venue with all the people hyped up on drugs. I hope that there'll be a music festival with more chilled music like Kygo, Bakermat and Klingande where you don't need to be tipsy or drugged up to enjoy it. Maybe a bit of the ganja.

I see people saying all KYGO songs sound like the same , but what artist on the planet makes songs with different style ? he has his style and it will not change for two people who comment without thinking. It isn't easy to make remix , and the harder it is to be creative as he is . Do not forget that it is very young, my age . Over the years you learn :D

***** Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of his stuff, but he does have a tendency to reuse the same chord progressions (well 1 actually)...a lot of his songs I hear make me think "Oh, Miami 82 again..." Cut Your Teeth is a perfect example, you could probably overlay the two with very little difficulty.

Unless you're Knife Party who manages to fucking killing every EDM genre and subgenre they produce, you're gonna have a unique style (the signature Kygo pluck, etc). His stuff obviously has found a great fan base thats behind his moves and very very very easily attracts and hooks new listeners as well. The sound that brought him fame and fortune is not going away, unless he makes a conscious decision. And then if he does switch, Vin Diesel (and other fans) will fkn revolt.

So much hate here, i agree some of his songs are pretty similiar but jesus its tropical house. If you only have listened to 1-2 songs you should definetly try some more, perhaps Firestone, Cut Your Teeth, Miami 82, Younger .. if you hate on this guy you're probably an Avicii or Calvin Harris fan (Most Avicii/Calvin fans are calling Kygo ''slow and boring''), i never really liked tropical house until i started listening to Kygo, this guy is a beast. Give him a chance, listen to the songs i mentoined earlier before you start throwing shit at him .. oh and btw if you like Avicii, listen to Epsilon by Kygo.

Tranzero Official So when you listen to music, you just notice the "party factor"? This is what's wrong with this generation. It's makes me sick. I really hope this trend reverses. Music is supposed to be enjoyed for what is is. Beautiful melodies and sounds. Just pure joy, or sadness if the artist wants to make a sad song. And if you say "Tommorrowland is about partying and partymusic, and Kygo's songs doesn't fit in", please go fuck yourself. Festivals SHOULD be ONLY this kind of music. It should be a festival for artists like: Sound Remedy, Vanic, Kygo who actually makes music, and not just a kick drum with a synth/percussion or whatever on top (which sadly is 80% of the music that's being played at these festivals) :/

Yh but for Avicii, touring wasn't really for him. Kygo loves touring but at the start Avicii loved touring but as he went further into it, he eventually gave up enjoying it. But the rest is true.

He makes my life so chill. He has that midas touch...everything he touches becomes gold

I saw kygo live in Amsterdam, and I have to say it was the best live performance I have ever seem/heard. It was amazing. I love house, and especially Martin Garrix but now I also love kygo and tropical house.

Can we take the time to appreciate the sound quality of this video? Most videos posted of live EDM music are ehh at best. Cheers to Tomorrowland

Andrew Franklin Comments are kinda meant for giving your opinion, positive or not. Personally I enjoy listening to Kygo's music at home, but think it would be rather boring hearing it for an hour at a festival.

Trust me when I say this, but Kygo's set was great. I loved the deep house mixes. It was a good time to save the energy to rage even more that night. Now the only problem I had with his set was he played the entire song. It sounded recorded. Not truly DJing. But then again he was nervous as fuck.

With the way his music is structured, it's also kinda hard to mix in the middle. I feel like he has not other choice. But yeah, he could've also been nervous because the crowd here is different than when he played at TomorrowLand.

But its important that uknow the fact, that its like just 1 and a half year since he first got attention on the Norwegian television. So he career has practically just started, and he is already played on TomorrowLand, i just have to say I`m really impressed how fast he is developing.

To everyone that thinks Kygo is trying to replace Avicii, you are so totally wrong and you can't see how different their music is.. First of all, Avicii is from Sweden, Kygo is from Norway. Just because he's scandinavian does not mean he's trying to be like Avicii and second of all, Kygo goes more for the Tropical Step with a really chill and smooth melody to it and people seem to like it, one of the reasons he is climbing the charts lately. Avicii plays house music, typical party music like Alesso, Afrojack and the list goes on. I can't see anyone saying Alesso tries to be Avicii? So please just stop. I bet even Avicii enjoys Kygo's remixes and songs. It's amazing to see someone who mixed songs for fun become huge artists, he even said it felt unreal how much attention he has gotten lately.
