In my opinion, even if the mix is pre recorded (although I do hate that a lot) I can't blame them. Not all producers can be djs . If it was pre recorded then.... shit. I still have respect for their music rather than their mixing.... it's a music festival. We should be enjoying the entertainment.... not criticizing it.

Okay, I do hate pre recorded mixes, yes. These guys are good producers, but horrible actors. Producers like this give a bad rep and image of real djs who mix live and know that at one point.... they will accidentally fuck up. I remember watching an interview of will.I.am. from edc 2010 and he said that if he does fuck up, he had the balls to do it live and recover from it, not like chicken shit guys who pre record their mixes and look like fools to those who know.

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt!! its possible to mix with 1 turntable you have to mix two of the same songs one of the turntable one on the virtual turntable (Serato)

This was a fucking good set OMG so good

this might just be me or just the video quality or something but it looked like both laptops were off and i couldn't notice anything actually happening when they were making moves on the decks...

Anyone notice how at a few points, neither turntable was spinning, or they would have 1 running and scratch and it would play a song as if nothing happened

turntable not spinning: a song was not loaded. I'm pretty sure their songs were made in like, 2013-2014, so they couldn't have put them on a vinyl. It's done electronically. If the turntable isn't spinning, it means there isn't a song loaded on it. scratching without anything happening: scratching isn't only for the effect. It's also to time the beat of the next song to the current song that you hear. They turn the volume down so if they fuck up, you wouldn't hear it. That's pretty much how every DJ plays. Unless you're pro and you don't need beatmatching coz you're skillz are purfekt

+pedro galvan I've played sets where DJ came in, put their laptop on top of one deck and only used 1 cdj. and they are basicly using traktor or serato to select tracks and either beatmatch with the free deck or just use sync...

That's DJ esentrik, in this case he's "eq-ing" that's an essential part in a mix so the levels are balanced..some songs have a lot more bass than others, notice he does take over the deck halfway thru the mix...in a DJ duo it's fair to say that only 1 DJ is really required to mix...since they represent "TWRK" it's only right to have both djs up there

Randy Santos idk...the fact that he keeps spinning the vinyl on one side yet has no effect to the track...the fact they never touch the faders.... The fact that neither of them do anything that actually transitions from one song to the next. And the Asian dude just touches the same knob over and over again briefly throughout the entire set. It's clearly premixed. All they did was hit play.

No I'm not kidding, I'm also a DJ and can relate to this kind of situation...here, start the video from the beginning notice how the first track "nolia clap" starts off slow and kind of distorted ..that's because the needle may have been dirty, or the vinyl is scratched..hence, why Benzi (the bald white guy flips it and why he licks the needle) in djing there's usually 2 decks (turntables) and a mixer (2 channels or 4 channels) in this case he's using a pioneer 4 channel mixer..with the advancement in technology the DJ software they use gives them various kinds of modes..when your needles don't work properly u can set one turntable table into "internal mode"..that automatically limits u to one turntable...he touches the right turntable to mix in to the left turntable ..the music is playing out from the left turntable (cont)
