Good to see and hear Tommy is still banging. Been a big fan ever since hearing Force Fed in 89!
Back in the 80s, Tommy Victor used to get amazing tones just using a budget Japanese Charvel Predator w/one EMG81 pickup through a Harry Kolbe modified Marshall JCM 800. He still gets an awesome tone with his more modern day equipment. A highly underrated player.

Joe Trout When I saw them on the Cleansing” Tour, he was using Marshall Valvestates. 12AX7 Tube Preamp / Solid State Power section. Killer tone. Still to this day, the intro on “Out of this Misery” is my favorite. What a tone!!
came here specifically because his live tone is one of my favorite.

I couldn't believe his live crunchy tone from a semi hollow body guitar (Charvelle?) That was the Rude Awakening tour. He has always had great tone.
Tommy is the inventor of so many sounds and guitar styles we do like today that's not even funny. Besides that the roadie/soundtech mentality he has when organizing his stuff is awesome. Just went to a prong gig and he coordinated from his guitar to the FOH soundtech with mastery. The noise gate vs gain game was the most brutal I saw. Long live tommy victor !

always been a big fan of Tommy Victor. brutal riffs, godly tone, and I always loved his solo style. a lot like Piggy used to be. nice fast in and out of there with the solos. hell, can't talk enough about his sound. it's like his guitar is a chainsaw trying to eat concrete. i love it.

I like how, since his gear is so simple, this just kinda turns into ; "I've been on the road for one hundred thirteen years and I'm gonna talk about the importance of this Shure 58, and a solid mic stand with my name on it." It's all the shit that makes it go smoothly without consuming your brain. Something to consider, absolutely.
I just saw Prong and they were super tight, heavier than ever.

I really wish when I met Tommy I wasn't trashed at First Avenue, I shook his hand and said I really enjoyed his Prong set but after that I kinda forgot what we talked about...2017 or so, with Testament and Sepultura, Prong might have been my favorite group that performed that night. I went mental in the pit, through out but especially during Prong.

Love Tommy Victor... but wtf.. you don't even know what EMG's are in there? Perhaps he's checking out a production model that varies pickups by region. Think it should have standard across the board - whatever his preference is.

lol @ danzig running all over the place and destroying everything.
Tommy is such a cool dude, but I never quite got why he changed his style in such a way after Cleansing. Used to be that very unique kind of working mans metal vibe. Oldschool guitars, clothes. Now it's all straight up modern thrash metal cliche from the looks to the gear
We need John Christ.
Does he not remind anyone else of Hank Azaria? 🤣👀
Like New York’s version of Godflesh.
