Hey he did play the closing set at Jones Beach ! This guys is no God hes a Hack ! failed to recreate priest solos of either original player to a T, and no doubt he could have if he wanted to, hack job. ., , his whammy work sucks! no candle to KK , and those parts should be the easiest to recreate, hacking it ! Why can Ozzy find replacements that nail his past guitarists? Because they are not hacking it, throwing in some extra shred parts did not impress me! very disappointed with his tone too. Priest was the double attack guitar band with amazing tone. Guitar God maybe with his own material . Hope Timpton gets some stem cell therapy and can get back in the drivers seat.

The guy who breathed new life into Priest, Ritchie, I salute you.

They struck gold with this guy. Sure, I miss KK, but Richie has chops, he revitalized the band, and he's got rock star juice in his veins. Intrinsic part of the band now for my money.

Yes, I agree. I've seen other guys get all mysterious about telling people what FX PA gear they use for some reason. I like how he plugs the band stylishly too

The Falcon is the Best all around Guitarist today. His playing just Sings and he is a Great On Stage entertainer. Wouldn't be a Priest interview without Forging and Hammering sounds in Background. Awesome. Great Dude.

I almost bought Richie's Epiphone V. The Floyd and the EMG's are what stopped me. Still, Richie was born for this. He just seems like one of those old-school metal guys from the late 70's/early 80s, only in a much younger incarnation. In an age of country music and EDM, he's a breath of fresh air.

The EMGs are not like 81/85 they are like FAT 55, basically actuve PAFs, I have them, they are amazing. Better than SD 59. And a FR can be locked! I would have liked one, they aren't getting cheaper.

Ritchie is awesome! I love these "behind the scenes" video clips. He fits perfectly in the band.

Just saw him in Chicago 09/2021, he played great. We really enjoyed watching him and the band.

Awesome guitar player and seems like a chill guy. Also this dude plays the hell out of his guitars! The wear on them is from churning out some awesome metal with Priest!

I have listened to several Priest concerts and Richie has a fantastic tone and he is a very solid player. Great video!

Never knew much about Richie until I saw the PG Rig Rundown and this. He's really cool and I dig his simple setup. I hope he continues to rise after Priest retires. Seems like a great dude and smoking player.

Fantastic! My friend Andy Beech built Richie his D'Haitre Flying Vs...Had to have the Epi RF Signature V and it has become one of my favorite instruments out of some 40+ guitars...great design, well thought out and highly functional...Great job Richie and Epiphone, and love Richie's work with Priest...loved the Firepower show in Kent, WA...Hurry back!

I’m a drummer but love watching these rig run downs here and on Premier guitar. Used to to listen to Priest back in the 80’s but haven’t kept up with them. What a cool guy. Good info and sounds like a really nice guy. Great vid.

I saw Priest live for the first time in my life last weekend in Brazil. At 42, raised listening to them, it was a dream that has come true. No word can describe it! Almost cried at the beginning of The Hellion/Electric Eye. I wish I could have shaken their hands and said: Thanks! Thanks a lot!

I was there!

Humble bloke. Confident bloke in his craft as a new gen axeman. A very lucky bloke to be playing with this legendary metal machine in Priest. Give me a LP Custom triple pick up any day of the week. Steve Clark's Creme LP Custom triple pick up with Kahler was simply divine. As are SpaceAce's Budokan triple pick up Customs [even if one of the pick ups is not actually workable]..great interview. All power to this gifted young man.

I think Richie has been the same kind of positive spice in the soup for the modern Priest that Vivian Campbell has been for Def Leppard. These monster but well-grounded players have elevated the "A-game" of Glenn Tipton and Phil Collen in a very 'friendly competition' way. Like, "Mate, I'm not here to show you up, I'm here to be one of the ingredients in a great band." Serious guitarists at all levels of accomplishment do best to compete only with themselves.

He seems like a down to earth kinda guy.

Dirty Dan I totallly agree! I paid $300 to see Judas Priest as close to the stage as possible. Definitely worth every penny spent for the ticket and all the Judas Priest merchandise I bought the night of the concert in Sugarland Texas

Glow Show judas priest didn't play in ozzfest this year they played near by my city. that was proarably the greatest part of the tour. and man it was awesome
