When I saw the picture a few days ago with a possible banjo, with a million guess this would not have been one. JD was my first collection of records. He did this song absolutely amazing/awesome he changed this song up as only he can do. Actually ran across JD a couple times living in that neck of the woods and regularly driving to aspen to pick up TVs to be fixed. So unexpected. This made my day and being here on your channel made it twice. A song with memories and nostalgia. This would be one of those. The dueling banjos there at the end made me smile, too, that was the first thing I learned to pluck out on a guitar. Tom‘s comments he said to Merlin hero nobody will ever know I wonder who that was I hope you guys are having a great day and also a great weekend. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏

We got a video on Patreon when he bought the banjo and he like “oh I know a little bit about playing it so now I have to learn a little more for recording the video”. Swedes are tall. The in memorandum is Merlin in the movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The scene where he sings this song and well it doesn’t ends well.

I never suspected this song either, but he did a fantastic job. Tommy actually reminds me of John Denver in a way, down-to-earth guy, big-hearted, just plain love music, creating it, performing it, appreciates music from all kinds of artists. Ultimately, though, this song is just a great song, as so many songs are that Tommy picks to cover.

Swedish country with a flare of metal. I’m okay with that. He has so much talent, and his humility is very refreshing. He plays the banjo quite well.
